How to limit the time spent on social media has been one of the biggest tech buzzwords in the last two or so years. This concept has permeated too far that Facebook is trying to help you reduce the time you spend on the platform.

Recently, Facebook announced its newest feature called ‘Quiet Mode’, which is intended to limit notifications you receive and limit the time you spend on the platform.

This feature mutes most push notifications, and once you open the app while the mode is activated, it will remind you to try and limit the time you spend on Facebook. It also includes some shortcuts to the notification settings as well as feed preferences, so you adjust the type of Facebook posts and alerts you see in the first place.

The feature is still not available, but once it is, you can enable it using the Facebook settings and tapping on “Your Time on Facebook.” While you are on the Quiet Mode, you will be able to see the amount of time you are remaining with, plus you can schedule this feature to activate during particular hours during the day.
