Hiroyuki Takei’s Shaman King will be getting a brand new TV anime adaptation, and it is scheduled for April 2021. A trailer released showing some cool slideshow illustrations from the original manga. The protagonist will be Yoh Asakura alongside his beautiful fiancée Anna.

The theme song for the anime is Over Soul by Megumi Hayashibara, which was the opening of the Shaman King Anime. This may be an indication that the original seiyuu from the 2001 anime might make a comeback on this new TV adaptation.

We still don’t know how the episodes will be, but they have confirmed that they will adopt from the original manga, including its ending. The original Shaman King ran for 64 episodes from 2001 to 2002, and it received a lot of love from fans.

This is the announcement that Anime Japan wanted to make earlier this year but reshuffled it to a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most anime lovers are happy to see Shaman King being animated again and can’t wait for April 2021, let’s hope it will not disappoint.

They opened up a new site for the adaptation and a Twitter account as well. With that, we will probably learn more about the anime soon.
