Creative, renowned for its innovations in audio technology, has launched the Aurvana Ace series, including the Creative Aurvana Ace and Aurvana Ace 2. These earbuds, featuring groundbreaking MEMS-based technology, offer an unmatched listening experience.
What makes the Aurvana Ace series unique?
The hallmark of these earbuds is their use of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), a technology that incorporates microscopic electronic components with moving parts. Thanks to Creative's collaboration with xMEMS Lab, the Aurvana Ace series provides seven times better phase consistency than conventional drivers. This advancement not only enhances the design but also elevates sound quality.
Previously reserved for high-end personal audio devices, MEMS-based microspeakers are now wireless with the Creative Aurvana Ace 2. MEMS drivers differ from traditional audio drivers in their construction: they forgo magnets and coils, using silicon and the piezoelectric effect to produce sound. This results in more authentic and immersive audio.
Creative's CEO, Song Siow Hui, emphasises the innovation of xMEMS drivers: “They empower the Creative Aurvana Ace and Creative Aurvana Ace 2 to reproduce sound with incredible accuracy and fidelity, offering an immersive and clear audio experience that redefines premium sound.”
Exploring the technological masterpiece
The Aurvana Ace and Ace 2 boast 10mm dynamic drivers, Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, Ambient Modes, and six microphones with Qualcomm cVc technology for crystal-clear calls. They offer up to 24 hours of playback and are IPX5-certified for water resistance.
Both models support various audio codecs, including LE Audio (LC3 codec), SBC, AAC, AptX, and AptX Adaptive, ensuring compatibility with different audio streaming qualities.
Differentiating the Aurvana Ace and Aurvana Ace 2
The Aurvana Ace 2 stands out with its Qualcomm Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, adjusting to ear fit and environmental conditions. It also features Qualcomm AptX Lossless for CD-like audio quality and is compatible with high-end Android phones.
In design, the Aurvana Ace 2 features a smoked translucent skin with copper highlights, contrasting with the Ace's sleek black finish.
Pricing and availability
The Creative Aurvana Ace is priced at S$189, and the Aurvana Ace 2 at S$219, available on Creative's official website. Pre-orders start on November 10, 2023.
