Plaud.ai has unveiled the Plaud Note Pro, its latest AI-powered productivity tool and successor to the original Plaud Note. The device introduces several hardware and software upgrades designed to make note-taking faster, smarter, and more versatile, while maintaining a slim and lightweight design.
Enhanced design and recording features
The Plaud Note Pro retains the sleek aluminium build of its predecessor, measuring just under 3mm thick and weighing 30g. It now features a 0.95-inch AMOLED InstantView display with a brightness of 600 nits. The screen offers quick access to essential information, including recording status, file transfers, and battery life.
One of the key upgrades is the Smart Dual Mode Recording system, which removes the need for manual mode switching. Using a vibration conduction sensor, the device automatically detects when a user is on a phone call, switching to call recording mode. When it senses ambient voices through its microphone array, it switches to meeting mode. This automation is designed to make the device more convenient for busy professionals.
The Note Pro also features a four-microphone array with AI-powered beamforming technology, which improves audio clarity and reduces background noise. It can capture voices from up to five metres away and track active speakers in real time. Battery life has been significantly improved, offering up to 50 hours of continuous recording and 75 days of standby time, compared to the original model’s 30 hours and 60 days of standby time.
Improved connectivity and smart tools
Connectivity has been upgraded with dual-band Wi-Fi offering transfer speeds of up to 2.2Mbps and Bluetooth 5.4 for faster and more stable pairing. The Note Pro also integrates with Apple’s Find My service, allowing users to locate their device if it is misplaced. Another addition is a “press-to-highlight” button, which will enable users to flag important moments during recordings. These highlights can later be used to generate more detailed, context-specific summaries.
Alongside the new device, Plaud.ai has launched Plaud App 3.0. The updated application introduces advanced features, including the ability to upload text and images, such as presentation slides, directly into notes. A new “Ask Plaud” tool enables users to query their recordings and receive answers with direct references to relevant content. Plaud Intelligence has also been enhanced to support the latest large language models, including GPT-5 and Gemini 2.5 Pro, for improved accuracy in transcriptions and summaries.
Pricing and availability
Plaud.ai has confirmed that the Note Pro will be priced at US$179, or roughly S$230. Although no specific regional availability has been announced, the company has confirmed that shipments will commence in October 2025. Early buyers will receive 600 complimentary transcription minutes and a magnetic case as part of the launch promotion.
With its enhanced recording features, advanced automation, and improved AI capabilities, the Plaud Note Pro aims to set a new standard in portable note-taking technology.
