The new suite is available now and includes Managed Detection and Response solutions, Cybersecurity Awareness Training, and customised enterprise solutions powered by ESET Private. Canon is offering the tools through its partnership with ESET, positioning the suite as part of its wider approach to securing business operations across physical and digital environments.
The announcement comes as organisations in Singapore face a more active threat environment. Canon cited data from the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore showing a 49% increase in phishing attacks, with industries such as manufacturing and banking among the targets. It also cited figures showing that almost 40% of cyber attacks in Singapore target SMEs.
A broader security role for Canon
Canon Singapore is extending its “security by design” approach from document and device-level protection to a wider set of cybersecurity needs. The company said the new suite is intended to help organisations protect daily operations and maintain business continuity as more operational touchpoints become digitally connected.
The move also broadens Canon’s role with enterprise customers. Rather than treating cybersecurity as a separate IT purchase, the suite adds managed response, training, and tailored security architecture to Canon’s existing technology portfolio.
For customers, the practical change is a broader security procurement path through Canon. The offering brings ESET’s cybersecurity products into Canon’s enterprise channel, giving organisations access to endpoint, email, cloud application, training, and customised security support through a single partner arrangement.
The suite covers detection, training and enterprise design
The Managed Detection and Response component is based on ESET PROTECT MDR. It provides real-time threat detection and response, with a stated 6-minute Mean Time to Respond. Canon said this compares with a typical 24-day industry median.
The service provides 24/7 monitoring across endpoints, email, and cloud applications. It also includes vulnerability management, patching, threat hunting, and response capabilities. For larger organisations, ESET PROTECT MDR Ultimate adds deeper visibility, customised threat hunting, and remote digital forensic incident response support.
The Cybersecurity Awareness Training component addresses employee behaviour, which remains a common exposure point for phishing and other attacks. ESET Cybersecurity Awareness Training uses online, scenario-based learning and gamification. It also includes phishing simulation tools that allow organisations to test employee awareness through realistic campaigns.
Canon is also offering customised enterprise cybersecurity solutions powered by ESET Private. These are designed for more complex environments where standardised security packages may not be sufficient. Professional cybersecurity experts working through Canon Singapore and ESET will support organisations in designing and deploying security architecture according to specific operational needs.
Manufacturing is one target use case
Canon highlighted manufacturing as one sector where customised cybersecurity support may be especially relevant. The source material points to the need to protect business-critical infrastructure and specialised production environments, where disruption can affect both operations and output.
That makes the customised component important for organisations with operational technology, production systems, or fragmented digital environments. In these cases, cybersecurity requirements may extend beyond endpoint protection and staff awareness into architecture design, incident response planning, and protection for specialised systems.
