Canon introduces new MegaTank printers for small businesses and home offices

[output_post_excerpt]

Canon has expanded its range with the launch of two new MegaTank printers, the G3780 and G4780, aimed at enhancing productivity in home offices and small businesses. These new additions boast an automatic duplex printing feature that helps reduce the time spent on large volume printing tasks. The MegaTank G4780 also includes an auto document feeder, perfect for businesses that need efficient document digitisation for archiving purposes.

David Yeo, Senior Marketing Manager of Consumer Business at Canon Singapore, commented, “The MegaTank G3780 and G4780 are perfect for high-volume home offices and small businesses. With their high print capacity, low running costs, and efficient performance, these printers offer a cost-effective solution for managing large print and scan jobs, helping users enhance productivity and streamline their workflow.”

Economical printing solutions

Both MegaTank models are engineered to significantly lower printing costs. They use high-yield ink tanks that can deliver up to 6,000 pages for black-and-white documents and 7,700 pages for colour documents from a bundled set of four ink bottles. In Economy mode, the printers can produce up to 7,600 pages for black-and-white and 8,100 pages for colour documents. These printers also support the GI-71S low-cost ink bottles, catering to users with sporadic printing needs.

Secure and efficient wireless printing

Featuring the latest WPA3 and TLS 1.3 security standards, the printers’ Wi-Fi connectivity ensures protection against data breaches, allowing for secure printing from a distance. By connecting to the internet and registering with Canon’s cloud service, users can also print documents directly from their smart devices or scan them to cloud storage using the Canon PRINT mobile app.

User-friendly features and maintenance

The MegaTank G3780 has a high-visibility 1.35-inch LCD display, while the MegaTank G4780 features a 2.7-inch colour touchscreen display. Both displays are mounted on a tiltable operation panel to maximise visibility and ease of use. The printers are designed for simple maintenance with easily replaceable print heads and maintenance cartridges that can be changed without special tools, facilitating quick replacements and minimal downtime.

Pricing and availability

The MegaTank G3780 and MegaTank G4780 are available now at Canon authorised dealers, with recommended retail prices of S$399 and S$439 respectively.

Launching these printers marks an important step in Canon’s strategy to offer advanced yet cost-effective printing solutions that support the needs of modern small businesses and home office setups.
