[output_post_excerpt]

The much-anticipated worldwide launch of Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is just around the corner, and fans have a special treat to look forward to before the big day. To celebrate the release, 2K is hosting the Civ World Summit, a thrilling multiplayer event featuring five renowned members of the Civ community.

What to expect at the Civ World Summit

The live event will take place on Saturday, 8 February, at 8:00 AM PST (5:00 PM CET) at XPERION in Hamburg, Germany. Hosted by Firaxis community manager Sarah Engel and beloved Civ creator PotatoMcWhiskey, the summit is organised in collaboration with Rocket Beans TV.

For fans in Hamburg or those planning to visit, tickets are available for purchase to join the live studio audience and watch the action unfold in person. For those tuning in from home, the event will be broadcast live on multiple platforms, including the Firaxis Games Twitch channel, the Civilization YouTube channel, and the Civilization Facebook page.

As a special treat, viewers on Twitch can unlock a commemorative in-game reward through Twitch Drops. The reward, a Cavalry Charge Banner cosmetic for your in-game profile, can be earned by watching the Firaxis Games Twitch channel or any of the partnered streams covering the event. Instructions on how to claim this reward are available on the Civilization VII Twitch Drops page.

A packed event for fans everywhere

The Civ World Summit promises to be an unmissable event for fans of the series, offering not only intense multiplayer competition but also an exciting announcement during the livestream. While the details of the announcement remain under wraps, fans can expect more updates in the coming weeks. The full lineup of the five Civ competitors will also be revealed soon, adding further anticipation to the event.

For those planning to claim Twitch Drop rewards, ensure your Twitch account is linked to your 2K account, as the reward will only be available to those meeting the requirements. The rewards must also be claimed from your Twitch Drops inventory within 24 hours of the event.
