Denodo and ST Engineering partner to advance AI-driven sensemaking technologies

Denodo and ST Engineering partner to develop AI-driven data technologies to enhance decision-making and operational intelligence.

Denodo has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ST Engineering Mission Software Systems to advance the development of data science and artificial intelligence (DSAI) technologies. The agreement marks a new step towards enhancing AI-enabled sensemaking capabilities for government and commercial sectors.

Partnership to drive data intelligence

The MOU was signed by Richard Jones, Vice President and General Manager of Denodo APAC, and Percival Goh, Executive Vice President and Head of ST Engineering Mission Software Systems, during the InnoTech Conference 2025. The collaboration aims to accelerate the creation of advanced data intelligence frameworks by combining Denodo’s expertise in data management with ST Engineering’s domain knowledge in mission-critical systems.

Both organisations will work closely to enhance value delivery across sectors by engaging in joint research, technical collaboration, and co-development of services. Their shared goal is to simplify how organisations interpret and act on complex data to enable faster, more accurate decision-making.

Joint innovation to support AI adoption

Under the partnership, Denodo will focus on system and platform integration of DSAI capabilities, prototype development, and the identification of emerging opportunities. Meanwhile, ST Engineering Mission Software Systems will lead development and operationalisation efforts, including pilot testing and full-scale implementation of AI-driven solutions.

Richard Jones said the collaboration reflects the growing importance of data as a foundation for AI. “Data management is a key enabler of AI-driven decision-making, opening the door to faster insights, smarter operations and leaner budgets. We are excited to harness our expertise in support of mutual goals. By combining ST Engineering’s deep domain knowledge with Denodo’s data management intelligence, we create a foundation that empowers timely, high-impact decisions for accelerated operational excellence,” he said.

Strengthening mission-critical operations

The partnership also reinforces ST Engineering’s focus on applying AI to improve operational performance and resilience in critical sectors. Percival Goh said the collaboration would help organisations better navigate a data-driven environment. “Through this MoU, we will join forces with Denodo to advance AI-driven analytics, transforming complex data into insights that guide decisions, build confidence and deliver measurable results – critical in today’s data-driven world. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to delivering solutions that make a tangible difference in mission-critical operations,” he said.

The partnership underscores a shared commitment to promoting the use of AI for operational intelligence. By integrating Denodo’s data management platform with ST Engineering’s technology solutions, the collaboration aims to help clients streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and strengthen their ability to make informed, strategic decisions.

The initiative highlights the growing role of AI in enabling “sensemaking” — the process of turning raw data into actionable insights — across industries that depend on speed, accuracy, and reliability in decision-making.
