Golf-tech platform Deemples launches in Thailand to strengthen Southeast Asia network

Deemples, Southeast Asia’s largest golf platform, expands into Thailand to connect regional golfers and support growing golf tourism.

Deemples, the largest golf-focused platform in Southeast Asia, officially launched its services in Thailand with a major event at Lakewood Country Club in Bangkok. This marks a key milestone for the mobile app company, which has built a strong presence in markets such as Singapore and Malaysia, and now aims to bring its services to one of the region’s top golf destinations.

Founded to solve the simple problem of finding people to play golf with, Deemples has grown into Southeast Asia’s largest digital golf community. The platform allows users to arrange games with ease, whether for casual rounds, club matches, or full tournaments. Its mobile app offers seamless payment integration and easy booking features, enabling users to focus on enjoying their games rather than managing logistics.

According to Ahmad Daleen, Chief Technology Officer of Deemples, Thailand’s golf community had been anticipating the brand’s entry into the market. “Golf is a sport that brings people together, and Deemples helps connect over a hundred thousand golfers across the region. The amazing Thai golf community has shown us that they wanted us to come into the market, and we have already built a strong community of golfers in Singapore. The language of the sport remains the same regardless of where you are – it is about passion and being able to play whenever and wherever you can. With a solid foundation established in Malaysia and Singapore, we are excited to expand our ecosystem in this golf hub to continue to provide golfers with a platform to connect, organise games, and share their love for the sport,” he said.

The launch event featured several key figures, including actor and professional golfer Amarin Nitibhon, CEO and founder David Wong, Thailand country manager Kittisak Cholasueksa, and Daniel Boongullaya, General Manager of Floraville Golf & Country Club.

Growing traction in Singapore’s golf scene

While golf has long been popular in parts of Asia, Southeast Asia has seen significant growth in player participation in recent years. Deemples reports that Singapore has been one of its strongest growth markets, even as the number of public golf courses continues to decline. The number of golfers in Singapore rose from 80,000 in 2018 to 120,000 in 2022. Interest from younger players has increased as well, particularly through university golf clubs and youth competitions.

Regionally, the number of golf participants reached 23.3 million in 2020. Deemples sees this momentum as a key opportunity to enhance the golfing experience across the region through its platform, especially with golf tourism playing an increasingly important role.

“Golf is a sport that brings people together, and Deemples is designed to facilitate those connections. We’re thrilled to officially launch in Thailand and connect Thai golfers with our growing community across Southeast Asia, strengthening the golf network across this region. We believe that by making it easier to find partners and play, we can help more people experience the joy of the game,” said CEO and founder David Wong.

Positioned to support golf tourism growth

With existing partnerships in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Brunei, Deemples is already a familiar name to many golfers in the region. Its entry into Thailand aligns with its long-term vision to support regional golf tourism by making it easier for golfers—whether local or travelling—to book games and events through a single platform.

The app’s features include real-time game organisation, payment options, and event management, helping both casual and serious players find matches wherever they are. Thailand, known for its world-class golf courses and popularity as a golf travel destination, offers a strong market for the brand to grow its footprint.

By linking local golfers with international visitors and providing efficient booking services, Deemples is contributing to the region’s growing golf ecosystem. The company’s goal is to foster deeper community connections and provide users with a convenient way to enjoy the game, regardless of location.

With its steady growth in Singapore and a solid user base across Southeast Asia, Deemples plans to continue developing its services in Thailand to offer the best possible booking and matching experience for golf players of all levels.
