NTT DATA and Booz Allen Hamilton partner to boost cybersecurity in Singapore

NTT DATA and Booz Allen Hamilton sign MOU to enhance cybersecurity in Singapore and the Indo-Pacific, focusing on AI, threat detection, and research.

NTT DATA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Booz Allen Hamilton to enhance cybersecurity offerings in Singapore and the wider Indo-Pacific region. The agreement aims to tackle both current and emerging challenges in areas such as threat intelligence, zero trust frameworks, and advanced automated threat protection.

By combining their research and innovation strengths, both companies will work on joint initiatives that explore how technologies like artificial intelligence can support cybersecurity and malware engineering. Senior researchers from both sides will collaborate to deliver new solutions, with a focus on areas such as advanced threat detection.

Building regional capabilities

As part of the collaboration, NTT DATA and Booz Allen will carry out knowledge-sharing and accelerated learning programmes to build expertise in emerging security domains. These efforts are expected to strengthen both organisations’ capabilities and extend their reach across the Indo-Pacific region.

In Singapore, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) recently released its first Cybersecurity Health Report, which found that only around 70% of organisations have adopted the agency’s recommended cybersecurity measures. With government bodies continuing to call for broader adoption of such practices, industry collaborations like this one aim to help close the gap by combining technical know-how with targeted services.

“This MOU brings together NTT DATA’s cybersecurity expertise with Booz Allen’s exceptional tradecraft and resources to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges faced by our customers,” said Png Kim Meng, Chief Executive Officer, Singapore, NTT DATA. “As the digital landscape evolves, robust solutions and capabilities are essential for a successful cybersecurity strategy. Together, we are well-positioned to advance our clients’ cybersecurity priorities, particularly in critical areas such as AI, malware engineering, and threat intelligence.”

Shared commitment to resilience

Garrettson Blight, Vice President at Booz Allen, added, “Our collaboration with NTT DATA is an exciting opportunity to scale our services and solutions to address the most pressing current and emerging challenges facing our clients in Singapore and beyond. Together with NTT DATA, we strive to introduce, deliver, and support a range of advanced cybersecurity solutions from threat intelligence to zero trust. We look forward to contributing to increased security and resilience in Singapore and the broader Indo-Pacific region.”

The partnership reflects both organisations’ commitment to helping businesses navigate growing digital risks by combining strategic insight, research capabilities, and on-the-ground expertise.
