NVIDIA expands DRIVE Hyperion ecosystem for level 4-ready robotaxi fleets
NVIDIA expands DRIVE Hyperion with robotaxi collaborations across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
NVIDIA has expanded the ecosystem around its DRIVE Hyperion robotaxi-ready platform, bringing in automakers, manufacturing partners, autonomous vehicle software companies, and mobility providers across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

The expanded collaborations cover planned deployments and programmes involving Foxconn in Taiwan, VinFast and Autobrains in Southeast Asia, Uber and Autobrains in Munich, and HUMAIN in Saudi Arabia. The announcement centres on NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion as a common platform for developing and scaling level 4-ready autonomous vehicle fleets.
DRIVE Hyperion brings compute, software, sensors, and safety together
NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion combines NVIDIA DRIVE AGX in-vehicle compute, NVIDIA Halos OS, which is built on the safety-certified NVIDIA DriveOS operating system, a compatible multimodal sensor suite, and NVIDIA DRIVE AV software for highly automated and autonomous driving capabilities.
The platform is built on NVIDIA Halos, the company’s full-stack safety system for physical AI. NVIDIA said DRIVE Hyperion gives automakers, autonomous vehicle developers, and mobility networks a level 4-ready foundation for robotaxi and autonomous vehicle fleet development.
NVIDIA said it is working with automakers, tier 1 suppliers, software companies, and mobility providers in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East to support robotaxi deployments.
Foxconn plans Taiwan robotaxi service from 2028

Foxconn is expanding its strategic collaboration with NVIDIA to develop and deploy level 4-ready robotaxi fleets built on NVIDIA technology. The effort combines Foxconn’s contract design and manufacturing services with NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion to support the integration, scaling, and deployment of level 4 electric vehicles.
Taiwan will be the starting point for the collaboration, with Kaohsiung expected to serve as an early deployment city. Foxconn plans to launch a robotaxi service in 2028, beginning with airport-to-city routes before expanding along corridors linked to Taiwan’s high-speed rail network.
“Autonomous mobility is a strategic focus of Foxconn’s EV initiative,” said Young Liu, chairman of Foxconn. “By leveraging strategic partnerships and NVIDIA’s capabilities, we are accelerating the deployment of level 4 robotaxi technology, with Foxconn providing high-performance computing and sensor integration to enable a worldwide rollout across communities and cities.”
The collaboration also involves Foxtron and has the support of Kaohsiung City, which is investing in smart infrastructure, green mobility, and AI-driven urban development.
VinFast, Uber, and HUMAIN extend the platform into new markets
VinFast is working with Autobrains to bring level 4 vehicles built on NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion to Southeast Asia. The collaboration combines VinFast’s vehicle development and manufacturing capabilities with Autobrains’ autonomous driving software stack.
“Advanced mobility shouldn’t be a luxury,” said Duong Nguyen, deputy CEO of ADAS at VinFast Global. “VinFast is committed to building scalable and accessible autonomous driving solutions through collaboration with global technology leaders. Together with Autobrains and NVIDIA, we are exploring a practical and cost-efficient path toward level 4 mobility for Southeast Asia’s highly dynamic real-world traffic environments.”
In Europe, Uber is working with Autobrains to launch a robotaxi programme in Munich later this year, built on NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion. The programme will integrate Autobrains’ agentic AI autonomous driving software into Uber’s ride-hailing platform, with more details on the selected automaker to be announced later this year.
HUMAIN is also working to bring NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion-powered robotaxis to the Middle East. The collaboration will use HUMAIN’s AI and mobility ecosystem to support the development and deployment of level 4-ready autonomous transportation solutions in Saudi Arabia.
