Proofpoint recognised as a leader in Gartner report for digital communications governance and archiving solutions

Proofpoint named a leader in 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for digital communications governance and archiving, excelling in vision and execution.

Proofpoint, Inc., a prominent cybersecurity and compliance firm, has once again been recognised as a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Communications Governance and Archiving Solutions. This recognition highlights Proofpoint’s comprehensive approach to managing information risks and supporting compliance needs across various industries.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant, last published in 2022 for Enterprise Information Archiving, previously recognised Proofpoint as the longest-running Leader, holding the title for ten consecutive years. The latest 2025 evaluation assessed 14 vendors, with Proofpoint earning its leadership spot due to its “Completeness of Vision” and “Ability to Execute.”

Mayank Choudhary, executive vice president and general manager of Proofpoint’s Information Protection and Compliance Group, highlighted the importance of effective communication governance amidst evolving challenges. “The proliferation of digital communication and collaboration tools has made it increasingly difficult to maintain visibility and context across disparate data sources,” he stated. “Coupled with the growing number of regulatory mandates, a more proactive approach to data management is increasingly critical to streamline e-discovery and supervision. We believe the Gartner evaluation further validates our steadfast commitment to facilitating informed compliance decision-making, managing information risk, and improving investigation readiness for our customers.”

Cutting-edge digital communications governance solutions

Proofpoint’s Digital Communications Governance (DCG) solution simplifies the oversight of communication data while delivering key security insights across a wide range of digital channels. It is specifically designed to address conduct risk by centralising communication content and enforcing adaptable data controls.

The solution uses advanced artificial intelligence (AI) to reduce false positives and enhance information discovery. With its capabilities, organisations can boost the efficiency of supervisory reviews, achieving up to an 84% improvement over traditional systems. Proofpoint also offers a unified platform for managing compliance and security risks, making it a valuable asset for organisations facing the complexities of modern data governance.

Customer feedback and accolades

Proofpoint continues to receive strong endorsements from its users. As of 9 January 2025, the company holds an impressive 4.7 out of 5 rating in the Enterprise Information Archiving market, based on 109 reviews on Gartner Peer Insights.
