ROG Zephyrus Duo introduces dual 3K OLED screens in a 16-inch gaming laptop form factor
ROG launches Zephyrus Duo with dual 3K OLED screens, RTX 5090 GPU, and multi-mode design for gaming and productivity.
ROG has launched the Zephyrus Duo (GX651), positioning it as the first 16-inch dual-screen OLED gaming laptop. The device combines two 3K OLED touch displays with flagship laptop hardware, targeting users who require both gaming performance and multi-window productivity in a single system.

The model is built around Intel Core Ultra 9 processing and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU running at up to 150W TGP. It also introduces multiple operating modes designed to adapt the dual-screen layout for different use cases, from gaming to collaborative work.
Dual OLED panels extend workspace and visual performance
The Zephyrus Duo’s defining feature is its dual-display setup, which provides more than 21 inches of combined screen space. Both panels are 3K ROG Nebula HDR OLED touchscreens with a 120Hz refresh rate and 0.2ms response time. The main display supports NVIDIA G-SYNC, aimed at reducing motion artefacts in games.
Peak brightness reaches up to 1100 nits, with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. The displays also target creator workflows, with Delta E < 1 colour accuracy and full DCI-P3 coverage.
The secondary screen functions as an extension rather than a mirrored display, allowing applications, tools, or media to be separated across panels. This positions the device as a portable alternative to multi-monitor desktop setups.
Flexible operating modes reshape how the laptop is used
ROG has built five operating modes around the dual-screen design. Dual Screen Mode removes the keyboard and uses a kickstand to create a multi-display workspace. Laptop Mode restores a conventional layout for gaming and general tasks.
Sharing Mode lays the device flat for collaborative viewing, while Book Mode rotates both displays vertically for reading or coding. Tent Mode positions the screens in an A-frame configuration, enabling shared gaming or media use.
The detachable magnetic keyboard supports both wired and Bluetooth use, allowing it to be repositioned or removed entirely. Despite a thin 5.1mm profile, it maintains 1.7mm key travel. The enlarged touchpad replaces the previous split layout, improving navigation across different configurations.
High-end hardware targets gaming and content workloads
The Zephyrus Duo uses an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with 16 cores and 16 threads, paired with up to an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. The GPU supports DLSS 4, Frame Generation, and fourth-generation ray tracing, enabling higher resolution and visual fidelity in modern games.
To support sustained performance, the system introduces a redesigned cooling layout tailored to the dual-screen chassis. This includes a custom vapour chamber, revised airflow design, and a graphite thermal layer covering both CPU and GPU components.
Josh Newman, VP of Product Marketing at Intel, said: “Every step of the way, I have been impressed at the incredible things that happen when our two great engineering-led cultures come together. This new portfolio for ROG Zephyrus products powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors is truly incredible!”
Premium build and availability
The device uses a CNC-milled aluminium chassis in a Stellar Grey finish, paired with a redesigned Slash Lighting system featuring 35 configurable zones. The design retains the Zephyrus line’s focus on structural rigidity while incorporating customisation elements.
The ROG Zephyrus Duo (GX651AX-SR010W) is available for pre-order at S$11,699 through ASUS channels and authorised retailers.
