ShopBack extends Visa rewards to in-store payments in Singapore
Singapore shoppers can now earn Visa card rewards at offline stores via ShopBack Pay, bridging digital offers with over 20,000 physical retail checkouts.
ShopBack has broadened its Singapore partnership with Visa by integrating rewards into physical checkouts via ShopBack Pay. The launch expands upon a pre-existing arrangement that previously focused on online card-linked promotions.
Under the enhanced system, shoppers are able to present Visa cards at participating brick-and-mortar storefronts through ShopBack Pay to accumulate rewards directly. Meanwhile, digital shoppers maintain continuous access to card-linked benefits via the Visa Offers Platform. This integration establishes a clear link between ShopBack’s online rewards services and physical point-of-sale transactions.
Visa rewards extend to physical checkouts
ShopBack Pay currently operates across more than 20,000 physical outlets in Singapore, having recorded over 16 million in-store transactions throughout 2025. Over the same period, the platform directed more than 30 million shoppers to its online merchants and brand partners across the country. The expanded Visa collaboration spans multiple retail verticals, including food and beverage, travel, and online marketplaces. By choosing to settle payments with a Visa card via ShopBack Pay at participating merchants, consumers extend their rewards earning capabilities directly into physical checkout encounters.
Bridging its affiliate platform, card-linked deals, and ShopBack Pay, the company connects every stage of the shopping journey, starting from initial merchant discovery online through to final payment and reward distribution. ShopBack aims to leverage the expanded Visa framework to replicate this unified commerce model across both digital platforms and physical store counters. Beyond its domestic market, the company has grown its physical payment operations internationally, expanding its in-store merchant network into Hong Kong.
This strategic growth across Singapore arrives shortly after ShopBack secured a Major Payment Institution licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Looking at its broader operational metrics, the firm has distributed over S$1 billion in cashback to consumers worldwide, alongside generating S$7 billion in gross merchandise value for retail partners in 2025.
Partnership builds on Visa Offers Platform
The two companies established their initial foundation through the Visa Offers Platform, which allows cardholders to gain extra rewards via card-linked promotions at participating online stores. Introducing Visa payments into ShopBack Pay expands this existing relationship directly into face-to-face physical checkout transactions.
Julian Foo, General Manager of Financial Services at ShopBack, described the expansion as a key component in advancing the firm’s payments ecosystem in Singapore. “Deepening our partnership with Visa marks an important step in how ShopBack is strengthening its payments ecosystem in Singapore. Together, we are making it easier for merchants to connect with consumers across online and in-store moments through experiences that are more seamless, more rewarding, and more commercially meaningful.”
Adeline Kim, Group Country Manager, Regional Southeast Asia and SVP, Global Clients and Acquirers at Visa Asia Pacific, linked the expanded arrangement to the companies’ ongoing efforts in delivering tailored promotions and cashback. “Visa is proud to be a key partner in ShopBack’s growing payments ecosystem in Singapore. Our continued collaboration builds on the strong foundation of the Visa Offers Platform, enabling us to unlock new value through personalised offers and Cashback opportunities. By combining Visa’s trusted payment network with ShopBack’s platform, we are helping create a more connected and rewarding experience across online and in-store journeys, helping contribute to a more dynamic commerce ecosystem for cardholders in Singapore when they shop and pay.”
