StarHub partners NeutraDC to boost regional quantum-safe connectivity

StarHub and NeutraDC partner to expand quantum-safe and low-latency connectivity between Singapore and Indonesia.

StarHub has entered a strategic partnership with NeutraDC, the data centre arm of Telkom Indonesia, to enhance secure and resilient connectivity between Singapore and Indonesia. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 28 November, outlining plans to advance quantum-safe network technologies and expand regional digital infrastructure.

The agreement brings together StarHub’s Low-Latency Data Centre Connect solution and NeutraDC’s carrier-neutral data centre ecosystem, which supports enterprise and hyperscale customers across both markets. By combining their capabilities, the companies aim to deliver faster and more secure cross-border data exchange for organisations operating in Southeast Asia.

StarHub and NeutraDC said the collaboration will support growing demand for high-performance networking as businesses accelerate their digitalisation efforts and expand cloud-driven operations across the region.

Expanding low-latency interconnectivity

As part of the partnership, StarHub will establish a Point of Presence at NeutraDC SNG-3 in Singapore. This move integrates StarHub’s low-latency capabilities directly into NeutraDC’s core digital infrastructure, allowing enterprises to connect with data centres, cloud platforms, and mission-critical applications with reduced latency.

According to the companies, the integration reinforces Singapore’s position as a regional digital hub by offering reliable and secure access to data resources for regional enterprises. The solution will support workloads that depend on uninterrupted data exchange, including cloud computing, AI-driven operations, and business-critical platforms.

StarHub’s Low-Latency Data Centre Connect solution provides a sub-1 millisecond path to cable landing stations in Singapore, enabling seamless regional reach through diverse subsea cable routes. The company said this performance will help businesses operate with greater agility and efficiency in today’s always-on digital environment.

Advancing quantum-safe security

A key focus of the agreement is the development and deployment of quantum-safe connectivity solutions. With quantum computing expected to challenge existing encryption standards, both companies said the collaboration will help enterprises adopt next-generation security models that safeguard sensitive data against emerging threats.

Through the new Point of Presence, customers can access a full DC-to-CLS-to-subsea cable route for end-to-end regional connectivity, software-defined networking with features such as network slicing and bandwidth-on-demand, and service orchestration for automated provisioning. The partnership also incorporates post-quantum cryptography to support long-term data protection.

Tan Kit Yong, Chief of Regional Enterprise at StarHub, said enterprises are managing unprecedented data demands and require infrastructure that can scale with their needs. He added that the collaboration aims to simplify how organisations move and protect their data while accelerating regional digital transformation.

Sendang Praptomo, Chief Executive Officer of NeutraDC Singapore, said the partnership aligns with NeutraDC’s strategy to deliver seamless, secure, and cloud-ready connectivity to its regional Neutra Compute GPU cloud offerings. He noted that quantum-secure connectivity marks a major shift in addressing the limitations of current encryption standards, helping customers stay ahead of evolving threats.

The agreement also strengthens StarHub’s broader regional strategy, which focuses on expanding its Low-Latency Data Centre Connect ecosystem across Southeast Asia. The company aims to work with more data centre operators to support enterprise growth with low-latency, quantum-safe, and cloud-ready interconnectivity.
