Xiaomi launches Mijia washer dryer in Singapore

Xiaomi launches the Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer 10.5kg in Singapore, offering hygienic cleaning, smart controls, and compact design for modern homes.

Xiaomi has introduced its first washing machine in Singapore with the launch of the Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer 10.5kg. The new model combines washing and drying in a single appliance, designed for efficiency, hygiene and ease of use. It is currently available through mi.com and Xiaomi Stores, with Shopee availability starting from 24 August.

The appliance features a large-capacity drum, smart control via the Xiaomi Home app, and high-temperature steam technology that removes up to 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, along with 100% of dust mites. It is equipped with a direct drive motor that offers quieter performance and a sleek, modern design suited for compact homes.

Built for hygiene and smart living

With a 10.5kg washing capacity and a 7kg drying capacity, the Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer is designed to handle heavy laundry loads while maintaining cleanliness and fabric care. Its Power Wash feature ensures deep cleaning, while high-temperature steam penetrates fibres without damaging them.

Additional hygiene features include a stainless steel drying tunnel, a nano anti-bacterial door gasket, and automatic drum cleaning. An automated door spray rinsing function also helps maintain cleanliness within the machine. According to Xiaomi, these elements work together to remove nearly all bacteria, viruses, and dust mites. This claim is supported by lab testing from CVC Testing Technology Co., Ltd. under its Hygiene programme.

Designed for convenience and energy efficiency

The washer dryer includes a load-sensing system that automatically adjusts the water level and cycle time based on the laundry load, helping improve energy and water efficiency. A 59-minute Wash & Dry cycle using a 14.5m/s airflow aims to simplify laundry routines, while 32 customisable programs allow users to select settings tailored to different fabrics, such as baby clothes and underwear.

Users can also connect the appliance to the Xiaomi Home app to control wash settings remotely, receive personalised wash programme recommendations, and store frequently used cycles. The touch control panel offers intuitive navigation with clear function indicators for everyday use.

Compact build with long-term reliability

Despite its capacity, the Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer has a compact body measuring 598 x 570 x 850mm and a depth of 570mm, including the reinforcement rib and front door. The direct drive motor, which eliminates the need for a belt by connecting directly to the drum, helps reduce wear and tear while providing long-term quiet operation.

Practical features include a built-in drum light, 24-hour delay start, and a mid-cycle add-clothes function. The washer dryer comes with a two-year general warranty and a 12-year warranty on the motor.

The appliance is available now at a retail price of S$599 via Xiaomi’s official online and physical stores. It will also be sold on Shopee from 24 August.
