XPENG previews next-generation P7 and humanoid robot IRON at Singapore Motorshow 2026
XPENG debuts the next P7, humanoid robot IRON and a broader EV line-up at Singapore Motorshow 2026, highlighting its AI-driven mobility strategy.
XPENG Motors has returned to the Singapore Motorshow 2026 with a broad showcase of its latest electric vehicle and artificial intelligence developments, led by an exclusive preview of the next-generation XPENG P7. The appearance marks the first public showing of the new all-electric sports sedan in Singapore and highlights the brand’s continued push into intelligent mobility as it strengthens its local presence.
The next P7 represents a new phase in XPENG’s design and technology roadmap. The sedan adopts a minimalist design approach that integrates lighting, sensors and aerodynamics into a single sculptural form. This creates a lower and wider stance intended to deliver a more dynamic sports sedan profile, while maintaining a clean and cohesive exterior that reflects XPENG’s evolving design language.
Beyond its exterior, the next P7 places strong emphasis on artificial intelligence. The vehicle is powered by three self-developed Turing AI chips, delivering a combined computing capability of 2,250 TOPS. This processing power is positioned as a new benchmark for intelligent performance, supporting advanced AI-driven functions across driving, sensing and in-car systems. XPENG describes the model as a full-scale AI vehicle, underscoring its ambition to move beyond conventional electric drivetrains towards software-defined mobility.
Humanoid robotics and embodied AI take centre stage
Alongside the next P7, XPENG is also showcasing its first-generation humanoid robot, known as IRON, which is making its debut appearance in Singapore. IRON was first unveiled during XPENG’s AI Day in 2024 and is scheduled to begin mass production by the end of 2026. Its inclusion at the motorshow signals the company’s broader strategy to extend intelligence beyond vehicles and into robotics and embodied AI.
IRON forms part of XPENG’s wider Physical AI vision, which aims to establish a shared technological foundation across multiple platforms. Both the next P7 and IRON are built on the company’s Turing AI system, which XPENG positions as the core platform supporting future AI cars, robotaxis, humanoid robots and flying vehicles. This approach reflects a long-term strategy to unify mobility and robotics under a common AI architecture.
The presence of a humanoid robot at a mainstream automotive event also illustrates how XPENG views the future of intelligent mobility. Rather than treating vehicles and robots as separate categories, the company is presenting them as part of a connected ecosystem driven by shared advances in sensing, computing and decision-making. This signals how developments in robotics could influence future vehicle experiences, while automotive AI systems may accelerate progress in humanoid automation.
Expanded EV line-up and local market focus
In addition to its flagship previews, XPENG is using the Singapore Motorshow to introduce a new variant aimed at broadening its appeal in the local market. The XPENG G6 Air RWD is being previewed as a potential Certificate of Entitlement Category A variant of the brand’s mid-size G6 SUV. The model is intended to make XPENG’s smart EV technologies accessible to a wider group of drivers in Singapore.
The G6 Air builds on the existing G6, retaining its coupe-inspired silhouette, intelligent features and dynamic performance, while offering a more accessible entry point for EV buyers. The preview follows strong market momentum for XPENG since its Singapore launch in 2024, including the delivery of its 1,000th vehicle within its first year of operations.
Commenting on the brand’s local strategy, Elsa Zhang, Head of XPENG Asia Pacific, said, “Looking ahead to 2026 in Singapore, XPENG will continue to strengthen its local product portfolio. Today’s preview of the G6 Air marks the beginning of XPENG’s vision of ‘AI Mobility For All’ in Singapore.” She added that as Singapore’s EV market rapidly shifts towards intelligent mobility, XPENG aims to “accelerate the transition from horsepower to brainpower — ensuring every resident benefits from advanced AI-powered mobility.”
Visitors to XPENG’s booth can also view the facelifted Category B XPENG G6 and the brand’s all-electric multi-purpose vehicle, the XPENG X9. In addition to product displays, XPENG is offering event-exclusive promotions, including giveaways and purchase incentives for customers who place orders during the motorshow.
Overall, XPENG’s Singapore Motorshow 2026 showcase highlights its ambition to position itself at the intersection of electric vehicles, artificial intelligence and robotics. By combining next-generation EV previews with a humanoid robot debut and an expanded local line-up, the company is signalling how it envisions the future of intelligent mobility taking shape in Singapore and beyond.
