Apple launches Creator Studio subscription for professional creators
Apple introduces Creator Studio, a new subscription that combines professional creative tools across Mac, iPad, and iPhone for creators and students.
Apple has announced Apple Creator Studio, a new subscription service that brings together its professional creative software into a single package. The move signals a broader push by the company to simplify access to its creative tools while encouraging long-term use across its hardware ecosystem.
Table Of Content
The subscription is aimed at a wide audience, including professional creatives, aspiring content creators, students studying media production, and educators. Apple said the service is designed to support creative work across the Mac, iPad and iPhone, allowing users to move between devices without changing tools or workflows.
Apple Creator Studio is positioned as an evolving service rather than a fixed bundle. Subscribers receive ongoing updates for included applications and access to new apps as they are added. Apple said this approach ensures users always have the latest features without needing to purchase upgrades separately.
A unified suite for creative work
Apple Creator Studio brings together a range of tools covering video, audio, image editing and general productivity. Apple has grouped its professional-grade software into a single subscription to simplify buying individual applications.
For video production, the bundle includes Final Cut Pro, Apple’s flagship video editing software. It offers advanced features such as transcript-based search, visual search, beat detection and an AI-powered Montage Maker designed to speed up editing workflows. Motion and Compressor complement Final Cut Pro by enabling motion graphics creation, visual effects, and advanced media encoding.
Audio professionals are served through Logic Pro and MainStage. Logic Pro functions as a full digital audio workstation for music production, with AI-assisted tools such as Synth Player and Chord ID. MainStage is designed for live performance, turning a Mac into a virtual instrument or effects system suitable for stage use.
Expanding creative tools across devices
Image editing is included with Pixelmator Pro, which is part of the subscription. While previously available on the Mac, Apple is introducing Pixelmator Pro for iPad through Apple Creator Studio. The iPad version features touch-based controls and support for Apple Pencil, making it suitable for illustration, photo editing and design work on the move.
In addition to professional apps, the subscription enhances Apple’s existing productivity tools. Keynote, Pages, and Numbers are already available to Apple users at no cost, but subscribers gain access to premium templates and AI-assisted features. These additions are intended to help users create more polished presentations, documents and spreadsheets.
Freeform, Apple’s collaborative whiteboard app, is also included with added premium content. Apple said these enhancements are aimed at brainstorming, visual planning and collaborative creative work. By extending premium features to commonly used apps, Apple is positioning Creator Studio as a complete environment rather than a collection of standalone tools.
Pricing, availability and value proposition
Apple Creator Studio is priced at S$17.98 per month or S$179 per year for regular users. The subscription unlocks Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro on both Mac and iPad, while Motion, Compressor and MainStage are available on the Mac. Premium features for Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform are accessible across iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Apple highlighted the potential savings compared with buying individual apps outright. A one-time purchase of Final Cut Pro for Mac costs S$399.98, while Logic Pro costs S$299.98. For users who rely on several creative tools, Apple said the subscription could represent better long-term value, particularly for those working across multiple devices.
Students and educators are offered a significantly reduced education price of S$3.98 per month or S$39 per year. Apple said this pricing reflects its focus on supporting learning and skills development. The subscription also supports Family Sharing for up to 6 members, though this option is not available for education plans.
Apple Creator Studio will be available from 29 January 2026. New subscribers can also access a one-month free trial to assess whether the service fits their creative workflow before committing.
