Apple to unveil iPhone 17 series and new Apple Watches on 9 September

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 series, new Apple Watches, and possibly updated AirPods Pro at its event on 9 September.

Apple has confirmed that its annual iPhone launch event will take place on 9 September at Apple Park, starting at 10 am PT. Viewers in Singapore will be able to watch the event live on 10 September at 1 am. The presentation will be streamed globally through Apple’s website, its official YouTube channel, and the Apple TV app.

A new iPhone lineup with a slim addition

The event, titled “Awe dropping,” is expected to mark the debut of the iPhone 17 series. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, as well as a new model, the iPhone 17 Air. The iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to feature an ultra-thin design and may replace Apple’s current Plus model.

Industry analysts say the introduction of this slimmer iPhone could be a significant step in Apple’s ongoing efforts to refine its product line, appealing to users who want a lighter and more compact device without sacrificing performance.

Next-generation Apple Watches to debut

Alongside the new iPhones, Apple is expected to unveil its latest smartwatch lineup. This includes the Apple Watch Series 11, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, and the Apple Watch SE 3. These devices are likely to bring upgrades to performance, battery life, and health-tracking features, continuing Apple’s focus on fitness and wellness innovation.

The Apple Watch Ultra series has typically been designed for outdoor enthusiasts and professional athletes, and the upcoming Ultra 3 is likely to enhance durability and advanced activity tracking further. Meanwhile, the SE model will provide a more affordable entry point to Apple’s smartwatch ecosystem, targeting users who want core features at a lower cost.

AirPods Pro update could bring health features

Another highlight of the event could be the unveiling of the third-generation AirPods Pro. According to rumours, the new wireless earbuds may feature heart rate monitoring, bringing Apple’s focus on health tracking beyond the wrist.

The AirPods Pro line has long been popular for its active noise cancellation, premium audio quality, and seamless integration with Apple devices. Adding health-tracking capabilities could make them a valuable companion to Apple Watch users, offering a more comprehensive health and fitness experience.

As anticipation builds, Apple fans worldwide will be watching closely to see if the company meets expectations and delivers innovative updates across its device range.
