ASUS unveils ProArt PA401 Wood Edition PC case

ASUS launches the ProArt PA401 Wood Edition PC case with superior cooling, sustainable ash wood design, and user-friendly assembly features.

ASUS has introduced the ProArt PA401 Wood Edition PC chassis, a compact and stylish option for high-performance PC builds. This new model is a smaller variant of the ProArt PA602 and blends exceptional cooling features with a sleek design, making it ideal for home offices or studios.

The ProArt PA401 is crafted to combine function and form, featuring durable materials and convenient features for PC building. It caters to users seeking a thermally optimised case that complements modern interiors while providing ample space for components and accessories.

Stylish design with sustainable materials

The PA401’s standout feature is its ash wood front panel, which adds a unique touch to the case’s design. This wood is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, ensuring sustainability. The wood undergoes a six-stage refinement process, including thermowood treatment and a two-step coating, to highlight its natural grain and achieve a smooth, low-sheen finish.

The chassis comes with two side panel options to suit varying preferences. Users can choose a sleek metal panel for durability or a tempered glass panel to showcase their PC’s internal setup. Both options are designed to maintain the minimalist and professional aesthetic of the case.

Superior cooling and convenient controls

The PA401 excels in thermal management, offering optimal airflow with its open-grille front panel and dual 160 x 32mm intake fans. These specially designed fan blades provide up to 138 cubic feet per minute (cfm) of airflow while operating quietly, ensuring that even demanding workflows can run smoothly without overheating. A pre-installed 120mm rear fan enhances the cooling system by effectively exhausting heat.

For added user control, the case features a PWM fan mode switch on the front panel. This allows users to toggle between low-noise and high-performance cooling settings depending on their workload.

Easy assembly and user-friendly features

The ProArt PA401 simplifies the PC building process with its user-friendly features. The tool-free design allows quick access to components, while the left-side panel lock ensures security. A detachable rear bracket streamlines power supply installation, and tool-free HDD slots make storage upgrades hassle-free.

Cable management is made easier with rear cable clips, and the case supports both vertical and horizontal GPU orientations to accommodate different setups.

The front panel includes multiple connectivity options, such as a USB 20Gbps Type-C port and two USB 3.0 Type-A ports. A physical lock prevents accidental power or reset button presses when using these ports. Additionally, removable dust filters at the front and bottom help keep internal components clean and dust-free.

For those seeking more internal space and additional connectivity options, ASUS recommends the larger ProArt PA602 Wood Edition.

Pricing and availability

The ProArt PA401 Wood Edition will be available in Singapore from mid-February 2025, with both the tempered glass and metal panel variants priced at S$179.
