Creative XF1 desktop speakers combine 72W output with Bluetooth 6.0 and LDAC
Creative Technology introduces the XF1 desktop speakers with active amplification, high-resolution audio, and tailored sound profiles for media production.
Creative Technology has unveiled the Creative XF1, a compact 2.0 desktop speaker system offering 72W RMS output alongside support for high-resolution wired and wireless playback. Finished in black or white, the system targets desktop setups spanning music listening, film viewing, gaming, and content creation.

The global rollout begins in Japan as the product’s first market. Additionally, consumers in the US and UK can purchase the XF1 directly through Creative’s online store from 6 August, priced at US$179.99 and £139.99 respectively. Distribution through local physical retail channels will remain dependent on regional authorised dealers.
Separate amplification manages the woofers and tweeters
Built around a fully active two-way architecture, the XF1 assigns independent amplification to every driver. A pair of three-inch woofers, engineered using finite element analysis techniques to minimise distortion while increasing output, receive 26W RMS each. They are paired with two three-quarter-inch tweeters powered at 10W RMS each, providing a cumulative output of 72W RMS.
Digital signal processing actively governs driver behaviour across volume levels to maintain a consistent frequency response, expand dynamic headroom, and control distortion. Acoustic specifications include a frequency response of 55Hz to 40kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 85dB, and total harmonic distortion plus noise under 1%.
Physically, each cabinet measures 155mm by 99.7mm by 191mm, with the left unit weighing 1.29kg and the right weighing 1.36kg. Included detachable cork stands elevate and tilt the speakers towards the listener, ensuring stability beside laptops and desktop displays.
Wired and wireless connections cover several audio sources
Holding dual certifications for Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless, the XF1 handles digital decoding up to 24-bit and 96kHz over USB-C alongside a standard 3.5mm analogue line-in option. Wireless connectivity relies on Bluetooth 6.0 with support for SBC, AAC, and LDAC audio codecs. The system offers an open-environment wireless operating range of up to 10 metres, though physical obstructions like walls can reduce connection distance.
For expanded low-end performance, a dedicated subwoofer output allows the system to integrate an external bass unit, automatically switching internal modes once connected. Daily operation relies on a multifunction knob managing power, volume, and input sources, alongside rear-panel buttons for Bluetooth pairing and energy management, with Creative supplying both a 1.5-metre USB data cable and a two-metre speaker interconnect cable.
Creative Nexus adds equaliser and preset controls
Digital tuning is made accessible via the Creative Nexus app, which houses a 10-band parametric equaliser and preset management. Sound specialists at Creative have crafted over 120 custom presets covering roughly 100 game titles and more than 20 music styles. Listeners can also configure custom profiles manually, with recommended setups including neutral curves for mixing tasks, richer profiles for cinema, and punchier sound signatures for gaming or daily media consumption.
“For many of us, the desktop has become the centre of work, entertainment and creation,” said Ernest Sim, CEO and Executive Chairman, Creative Technology Ltd. “Creative XF1 is built to deliver room-filling power with richer depth and clarity, so every note, voice and effect sounds closer, more vivid and more real at your desk.”
