Devialet has introduced the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue, a new colour edition of its compact speaker featuring redesigned side panels and a matching stand. Arriving a year after the introduction of its latest-generation speaker, the edition retains the range’s established acoustic performance while focusing the changes on its exterior design. Formula 1 driver Isack Hadjar, who races for Oracle Red Bull Racing and serves as Devialet Global Brand Ambassador, fronts the accompanying campaign, which associates the Pulse Blue finish with the focus and intensity of motorsport.
A new finish with a matching stand
The Pulse Blue edition revisits a colour previously used in Devialet’s visual identity. Redesigned side panels replace the earlier matte treatment with a glossy, mirror-polished surface, while a clear varnish enhances the depth of the RAL 5011 blue finish. According to Devialet, the surface responds to changes in lighting, giving the speaker a different appearance depending on how light falls across it.
To complement the updated design, the company has also refined the speaker’s logo. A matching Tree Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue stand completes the edition, allowing buyers to pair the speaker with a stand in the same colour.
Acoustic performance and signal processing
The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue delivers a frequency response of 18 Hz to 25 kHz at ±6 dB and sound output of up to 98 dB SPL. Its audio processing supports files up to 24-bit/192 kHz, while Devialet’s Cospherical Architecture uses a dedicated full-range driver to broaden the acoustic field.
Managed by what the company describes as a latest-generation processor, the speaker incorporates several of Devialet’s established audio technologies. ADH New-Gen, or Analog Digital Hybrid, combines the linearity and refinement of Class A analogue amplification with the power and compactness of Class D digital amplification. Working alongside it, SAM, or Speaker Active Matching, adjusts the audio signal to the drivers in real time. To support bass performance despite the compact dimensions, Devialet also uses its HBI, or Heart Bass Implosion, acoustic architecture to reproduce low frequencies down to 18 Hz. Completing the signal-processing technologies, AVL, or Adaptive Volume Level, dynamically adjusts volume according to the content being played, a system designed to preserve audible detail at lower listening levels while complementing the speaker’s other signal-processing technologies.
For playback, the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue supports individual, stereo and multi-room listening configurations. Using two speakers in stereo separates the left and right audio channels, creating a wider soundstage with greater depth, precision and dynamic range, according to Devialet.
Streaming features and Singapore availability
On the software side, the speaker runs on Devialet DOS 3, the company’s software architecture for connecting its audio products through a common interface. Supported streaming options include AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect and UPnP, giving listeners several ways to access music through compatible services and devices.
Additional control is available through the Devialet app, which features four dedicated audio modes: Music, Podcast, Cinema and Neutral. A six-band equaliser allows users to adjust specific frequencies, while Bass Reducer offers control over low-frequency output. Acoustic compensation at lower volumes is provided by the Loudness function, and the app also provides access to software updates.
In Singapore, the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue is priced at S$2,650, while the matching Tree stand costs S$400. Both launched on 15 September 2026 through devialet.com, the Devialet Grand Hyatt Flagship Store and Devialet Marina Bay Sands.
