Honor launches Magic8 Pro in Singapore with new MagicBook Art 14 and Watch Fit

Honor launches the Magic8 Pro in Singapore with upgraded imaging, AI features and companion devices including the MagicBook Art 14 and Watch Fit.

Honor has introduced the Magic8 Pro in Singapore, marking the arrival of its latest flagship smartphone with a strong focus on imaging, performance and AI-assisted features. The device is positioned as a master-grade camera phone, built around significant upgrades to its AiMAGE system and a 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera designed to improve clarity and stability in low-light environments.

The phone combines this camera system with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 7,100mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging. Honor said the Magic8 Pro is intended to give users a blend of creative control, day-long power and enhanced AI-driven interaction.

“We are excited to introduce the Honor Magic8 Pro in Singapore,” said James Li, CEO of Honor. “This device represents a significant leap forward, not just in mobile photography, but in the entire smartphone experience, driven by our profound commitment to AI innovation. The Magic8 Pro seamlessly integrates Honor’s pioneering AI imaging technologies with advanced computational optics, empowering every user to capture professional-grade clarity, colour, and emotion in every frame. But our vision extends beyond the lens; with its human-centric AI Agent, the Magic8 Pro truly understands user intent, becoming an intuitive AI companion that brings artistry, intelligence, and seamless interaction together like never before.”

The company highlighted real-world results through a collaboration with Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s Night Safari, where photographers used the phone to capture nocturnal animals. Images of sugar gliders, collared owlets, binturongs and carpet pythons were used to demonstrate the device’s performance in low light and at long range.

The Magic8 Pro’s camera system includes a 200MP telephoto sensor with a wide f/2.6 aperture, optical image stabilisation and 3.7x optical zoom. The phone’s AI Adaptive Stabilization Model allows users to achieve steadier shots, with Honor claiming improvements in shake detection accuracy and dynamic response, as well as CIPA 5.5-level stability without requiring accessories such as tripods or gimbals. A 50MP main camera and 50MP ultra-wide camera support the telephoto setup, offering macro capabilities, landscape photography and portrait rendering.

Colour accuracy is handled by Magic Color, an AI colour engine capable of extracting up to 16.77 million colours, tracking tones and applying styles or templates directly in camera. An AI Photos Agent provides one-tap or voice-activated actions for background removal, tone editing, restyling and other adjustments. A dedicated AI Button serves as a quick-access key for the camera or other AI-based functions.

Performance, battery life and display features

The Magic8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform, which brings improvements to CPU, GPU and AI processing. Honor noted that the device can enhance gaming performance through GPU-NPU heterogeneous AI super-resolution and frame-generation technology. This can convert 60fps gameplay at 850p to 120fps at 1080p for smoother visual output.

The 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. The 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display offers refresh rates between 1 and 120Hz, HDR peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits and 4,320Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker. Honor has also included its Chip-Level AI Defocus Display, Dynamic Dimming, Circular Polarized Display 2.0 and Circadian Night Display to create more natural viewing conditions.

Connectivity improvements come from the upgraded Honor C1+ RF Enhanced Chip, designed to provide more stable network performance. Honor said users can expect improved Wi-Fi speeds and stronger signal strength in congested areas. Its Signal Antenna Structure increases signal transmission by up to 90 per cent and reception by up to 108 per cent.

The device runs MagicOS 10, which introduces a translucent visual theme and updated interface elements across system apps. Honor has integrated subtle light, sound and haptic effects into interactions, including the lock screen keypad and dialler.

Local launch, ecosystem devices and availability

The Magic8 Pro also features AI tools that support perception, context understanding and on-device execution. The AI Screen Suggestions feature can be accessed through a long press of the AI Button, offering options such as summaries, photo functions and deepfake detection. Real-time communication protection includes AI tools that detect face-swap and voice-clone attempts during calls and video chats.

Google Gemini comes pre-installed, giving users access to text, voice and image-based assistance. Features such as Overlay, Screen Context, Nano Banana in Gemini, Veo 3, Connected Apps and Gemini Live are supported. Gemini Live enables real-time visual recognition and instant translation of signs, documents or landmarks.

Alongside the smartphone, Honor also launched the MagicBook Art 14 and the Honor Watch Fit. The laptop comes with a 14.6-inch OLED anti-reflection touch display, Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, detachable magnetic camera and AI Cross-OS WorkStation for seamless pairing with the Magic8 Pro. It will be available in Mocha Brown and Emerald Green for S$2,299 with a 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD configuration.

The Honor Watch Fit arrives in Black and Denim from S$149, offering up to 23 days of battery life, 5ATM and IP68 water resistance, and integration with the Magic8 Pro’s health tracking features.

In Singapore, the Magic8 Pro comes in Sunrise Gold, Sky Cyan and Black. The 12GB+512GB model is priced at S$1,499, while the 16GB+1TB variant is available in Black and Sunrise Gold for S$1,699. Pre-orders run until 5 December 2025.

Customers who pre-order will receive gifts valued at S$1,034, including Sony WH-1000XM5 noise-cancelling headphones, extended warranty and Google AI Pro access. Sales channels include Honor’s official website, retail stores across major malls, online marketplaces and telco partners M1, Singtel and StarHub.
