Leica Cine Compact 1 brings 4K laser projection to a portable home cinema format
Leica Cine Compact 1 is a 4K laser mini projector with 360° rotation, VIDAA streaming and up to 220-inch projection.
Leica Smart Projection has added the Leica Cine Compact 1 to its projector line-up, introducing a compact mini projector for home entertainment across living rooms, ceilings, walls, gardens and terraces.
Table Of Content
The projector pairs Triple RGB laser technology with a Leica Summicron zoom lens, a 0.47-inch DMD image chip and Leica Image Optimization, known as LIO. It supports 4K projection, brightness of up to 1,700 lumens, image sizes of up to 220 inches and Dolby Vision for contrast and brightness transitions.
Flexible projection without a fixed screen
The Cine Compact 1 is built for flexible placement rather than a permanent home cinema setup. Its integrated 360° rotation system allows images to be projected from different angles onto walls, ceilings and other surfaces, reducing the need for a fixed screen.
Automatic zoom, autofocus, keystone correction and intelligent screen framing help align the image during setup. Leica also offers an optional stand for use in living areas, while an integrated tripod thread allows ceiling mounting.
Streaming, wireless access and built-in audio
The projector runs on the VIDAA operating system, giving users direct access to streaming services including Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime. It also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay and Apple HomeKit, with HDMI and USB ports available for wired connections.
The built-in sound system can be used on its own or paired with external speakers through Bluetooth 5.4 or HDMI. Audio support includes Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS Virtual:X.
Aluminium design and wider market availability
Leica has housed the Cine Compact 1 in a solid aluminium Bauhaus-style body with a glass front. The design is intended to support optical alignment, thermal management and stable performance over long-term use.
The projector uses energy-efficient Triple RGB laser technology and comes with a transport case made from fully recyclable EPP material, replacing standard transport packaging.
The Leica Cine Compact 1 will be available from 18 June 2026 at a recommended retail price of S$2,400 in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada and Asia, including the Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and, from July, Japan.
