Lian Li’s new Lancool 207 Digital case brings a 6-inch LCD screen to your PC

Lian Li's Lancool 207 Digital PC case brings a bright 6-inch LCD screen to your setup, offering style, function, and full customisation.

When you think of a PC case, you probably picture a simple, boxy design — maybe black, white, and with a glass door on the side. While some companies like GameMax try to shake things up with creative designs, most changes to PC cases usually focus more on improving function rather than appearance.

If you are looking for something that spices up that usual design without losing the familiar look, Lian Li has just what you need. Their new ATX Lancool 207 Digital case is based on the original Lancool 207 but adds a surprising feature — a 6-inch LCD screen right on the front.

A bright display packed with features

The LCD screen on the Lancool 207 Digital is not just for show. It offers a 720 x 1600 resolution at 60Hz and reaches a brightness of 500 nits. That brightness level is higher than what you find in some computer monitors, which may seem a bit much for something you usually keep indoors. It almost feels like the screen you would expect on an older midrange smartphone.

Lian Li’s L-Connect 3 software allows you to fully customise the screen. Some suggested uses include monitoring your CPU, GPU, and fan performance with real-time visual metrics. To add a personal touch, you can set dynamic backgrounds, use pre-made templates, or even upload your videos and pictures to play on the display.

The case also comes with an Offline mode. This feature keeps the screen active even when your PC is turned off, working like an always-on display. By connecting the screen via USB, you can also use it as a second monitor, giving you even more ways to make the most of it.

Designed with your desk in mind

One thing to consider is that this case is designed for people who place their PCs on their desks. If your PC usually sits on the floor, it might be tricky to see the display properly without straining your neck. However, the display could still add a great visual effect, especially if you sync it with your case’s RGB lighting setup.

From a more practical point of view, the Lancool 207 Digital has a clever internal design. It features a front-mounted power supply unit (PSU) and a recessed motherboard tray, making it easier to manage cables neatly. It also includes two 140mm PWM fans pre-installed at the front and two 120mm PWM fans at the bottom, helping to keep everything cool. If you need more cooling, there is room to install a 360mm radiator at the top.

Pricing and availability

If you are interested, the Lian Li Lancool 207 Digital will be priced at US$109.99. However, at the time of writing, there is no word yet on when it will be available through Lian Li’s official sellers.
