Google appears to have removed the Pixel Tablet from its online store, adding to signs that the company may have discontinued the device. The tablet is no longer listed for sale through the Google Store, while the company has also removed the Tablet category from the navigation menu on its main website.
Jetstream first spotted the change, reporting several days earlier that the Pixel Tablet was already listed as out of stock. Its complete disappearance from Google’s product catalogue now suggests the device may have reached the end of its commercial run. However, Google has not yet officially confirmed that it has been discontinued.
Pixel Tablet disappears from Google Store
Google introduced the Pixel Tablet as its return to the tablet market, positioning it as both a traditional tablet and a smart home device. Its distinctive charging speaker dock was a major part of the product’s launch strategy, letting the tablet serve as a larger smart display when docked while also charging.
Google has now removed the tablet’s product page from its store, rather than simply leaving it listed as unavailable. The company has also removed the Tablet option from the menu at the top of its homepage. These changes more strongly suggest the product may no longer be part of Google’s active hardware range.
Google has not publicly stated that the Pixel Tablet has been discontinued. The company was asked to confirm whether it has phased out the device, but it has not confirmed it so far. The situation could therefore still change if Google decides to restock the tablet or formally announces its status.
The removal is also notable because Google still displays several Pixel Tablet accessories on its store. However, those products are limited in availability. Accessories including the Pixel Tablet Case and Charging Speaker Dock are listed as unavailable, and customers can request a notification when they return to stock.
Accessories are also becoming harder to find
The condition of the remaining Pixel Tablet accessories further suggests that Google’s tablet hardware may be winding down. While accessory listings have not been completely removed, many of the products needed to support the tablet are no longer available for direct purchase.
Customers looking for the Pixel Tablet Case or Charging Speaker Dock cannot currently order those products from Google’s store. Instead, the listings let you request a notification if the accessories become available again. That could mean Google is simply experiencing a temporary supply shortage, but it could also reflect the gradual retirement of the product line.
At present, the Wasserstein Pixel Tablet Speaker Stand is reportedly the only Pixel Tablet-related accessory still available to purchase through the Google Store. The continued presence of some accessories does not necessarily mean that the tablet itself will return, particularly if Google is clearing remaining stock or maintaining listings for existing owners.
The Pixel Tablet’s availability has also declined outside Google’s own store. The device is no longer available through Amazon, while its listing at Best Buy states that the item is no longer available in new condition. The combination of limited retailer stock and its removal from Google’s own store makes it increasingly difficult for new customers to buy the device.
That situation could also affect people who already own a Pixel Tablet. Although a product disappearing from a store does not mean existing devices will immediately stop working, long-term access to accessories and replacement hardware could become a concern if Google has decided to end the product.
Google’s tablet experiment may be coming to an end
Google unveiled the Pixel Tablet at its I/O developer conference in 2023. The device launched at US$899 with a charging speaker dock included, an approach that helped distinguish it from conventional Android tablets and gave customers an additional use for the device when it was not being used as a portable screen.

However, the tablet’s apparent removal from Google’s store suggests that the company may now be moving away from that strategy.
