Logitech introduces a room booking assistant for enterprises in Logitech Sync

Logitech introduces a new room booking assistant in Logitech Sync for streamlined space and device management in enterprises.

Logitech has unveiled a new room booking assistant feature within Logitech Sync, designed to address the challenge of finding available meeting spaces as employees return to the office. This upgrade to Logitech Sync offers a range of software tools, including remote access, room booking capabilities, usage insights, and automation, all aimed at simplifying space and device management for IT departments on a single platform.

Simplified room management

The new room booking software integrated into Tap Scheduler enables employees to conveniently book and claim meeting rooms directly through their preferred calendar app, such as Google Workspace, Office 365, or directly on the Logitech Tap Scheduler interface. In cases where a room reservation is not honoured within a specified time frame, the system will automatically release the room, making it available for others to book. For impromptu meetings, users can easily identify vacant rooms through LED status lights on the Tap Scheduler or by selecting an available room from a floor plan map.

Logitech has shared that an upcoming software update will enable the AI Viewfinder presence detector in Rally Bars and Rally Bar Minis to utilise existing software used for framing individuals to detect ongoing meetings within a room and update the room status to occupied accordingly.

Enhanced remote device management

With the Remote UI Access feature, IT administrators can remotely view and manage Logitech devices located within conference rooms, allowing them to troubleshoot issues without physically entering the room. This capability extends to conference cameras, touch controllers, and scheduling panels. Users concerned about privacy can rest assured, as Logitech’s stringent privacy and security protocols ensure that Sync does not record or store any audio, video, or images from meeting rooms.

Pricing and availability

Logitech’s Room Booking solution is currently offered in two pricing tiers: the comprehensive and essential plans, both of which are available in a public beta phase. The comprehensive service plan is priced at US$399 per room per year, while the essential plan comes at US$199 per room per year. Each plan includes the following services:
