Marvel Rivals reveals full roster and map details ahead of December launch

Marvel Rivals reveals its full 33-character roster and a new map, Klyntar, ahead of its 6 December launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Marvel fans, get ready! The highly anticipated hero shooter, Marvel Rivals, has just unveiled its full character roster in an exciting new trailer ahead of its 6 December launch. This revelation confirms the inclusion of several iconic heroes and a thrilling gameplay experience.

A star-studded lineup of heroes

The new trailer showcases an impressive lineup of characters, including Wolverine, Black Widow, Iron Fist, Squirrel Girl, and Cloak and Dagger. These favourites will join the game’s roster at launch, bringing the number of playable characters to an exciting 33.

Leading up to the release, each hero will be introduced through dedicated trailers, highlighting their unique abilities and gameplay style. A standout moment in the launch trailer features an awe-inspiring team-up attack where Hulk hurls Wolverine into action, leaving his mark in an explosive display. Other creative pairings teased in the trailer include Squirrel Girl using Spider-Man’s webbing to launch an explosive slingshot projectile and a seamless attack collaboration between Black Widow and Hawkeye.

While the specific roles of these characters within the game remain under wraps, the glimpses of their synergy and individual powers promise dynamic gameplay for fans of Marvel’s rich universe.

Exploring new battlegrounds

In addition to the character announcements, Marvel has revealed a brand-new map, Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface. This visually stunning battleground is set on Klyntar, the symbiotes’ home planet. The storyline unfolds as the Guardians of the Galaxy crash-land on Klyntar and encounter Venom. Their mission, assigned by Shuri, is to prevent the awakening of the symbiote god Knull. However, Venom warns them of the unpredictable and dangerous symbiote forces.

The map’s design and narrative elements set the stage for immersive gameplay, combining Marvel’s iconic storytelling with fast-paced action. A trailer for the map is available, offering a sneak peek at this exciting addition.

Pre-launch engagement and platforms

To further engage the Marvel gaming community, the developers are hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on 5 December at 11 a.m. via the official Marvel Rivals Discord channel. Fans can use this opportunity to ask questions about the game and gain insights from the development team.

Marvel Rivals is set to launch on 6 December and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or a Marvel enthusiast, this title promises an action-packed adventure celebrating the Marvel Universe.
