Nothing has introduced Headphone (1) Pro as its new flagship model and the debut entry in its Pro audio series. It also marks the company’s first audio device equipped with studio-level controls, pairing a three-driver acoustic system with dedicated tuning options suited to everyday listening, music production and mixing.

To elevate playback across varied listening environments, the headphones incorporate adaptive active noise cancellation rated at up to 46 dB alongside Dynamic Spatial Audio with head tracking. High-resolution sound is supported across both wireless connections and USB-C. Nothing is launching the model in tandem with a global campaign featuring V of BTS, who has joined the company as a Global Brand Ambassador.

Three drivers divide the frequency range

Headphone (1) Pro relies on a three-driver arrangement where each unit manages a distinct segment of the frequency spectrum. Low frequencies are anchored by a 40 mm dynamic driver, mid-range vocals and instrumentation are reproduced by a precision dynamic driver, and high frequencies are driven by an xMEMS unit. Working together, the configuration delivers a comprehensive frequency response spanning 20 Hz to 40 kHz. Nothing collaborated directly with Metropolis Studios to calibrate the overall acoustic signature. This partnership produced a dedicated Flat EQ Switch that supplies an uncoloured sound profile for producers and creators, Studio B as a Dynamic Spatial Audio mode replicating the acoustics of a mixing room, and five additional Custom EQ profiles curated around British music.

Listeners seeking deeper customisation can adjust the sound through the Nothing X app. An Advanced EQ tool enables tuning points to be shifted across the entire frequency range and grants independent control over the Main and Precision drivers. For more immediate adjustments, Simple EQ governs core parameters like vocals and bass, whilst Personal Sound and custom EQ profiles offer further personalised calibration.

For source audio, the headphones support Hi-Res wireless streaming as well as lossless wired playback via USB-C at up to 24-bit/192 kHz. Five Dynamic Spatial Audio modes are also available with head tracking to widen the soundstage.

Adaptive noise cancellation uses 10 microphones

Environmental noise management is handled by a 10-microphone system that drives the adaptive active noise cancellation. The setup continually calibrates sound filtering to match shifting surroundings, with Nothing highlighting traffic and wind as primary scenarios the system is built to suppress. These electronic filters are complemented by redesigned ear cushions that incorporate an 8 mm silicone baffle wall, creating a tighter seal around the ear to improve passive isolation.

The exterior continues Nothing’s established transparent aesthetic, offering a view of the internal three-driver system through toughened 9H Panda glass set into both ear cups. Premium aluminium and titanium form the core structure, with titanium arms replacing previous steel components as part of an internal redesign. Wearer comfort across the 327 g frame is maintained through a wider headband with thicker padding and softer ear cushions. The package is rounded out by up to 68 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation switched off, fast charging support, an IP52 rating, and availability in Black and White versions.

V fronts the Headphone (1) Pro campaign

Nothing’s promotional campaign for Headphone (1) Pro features V of BTS and was filmed in Seoul by Dorothea Sing Zhang. The project centres on themes of experimentation, music and creative expression.

Carl Pei, co-founder and CEO of Nothing, said, “V has an instinct for fearless experimentation. He’s always pushing into different sounds and styles – he follows his creative instincts, not tried-and-tested formulas, and that’s exactly what we wanted to capture with Headphone (1) Pro. We’ve built it to give people more freedom and flexibility in everyday listening. V was the perfect choice as we define technical excellence for the next generation of creatives.”

Headphone (1) Pro will be released in Singapore at a later date. Further details regarding local availability are scheduled to be announced separately.
