Nothing has unveiled the Phone (3a) Lite in Singapore, positioning the new device as a more accessible entry point into its product ecosystem while retaining the brand’s distinctive design language and core software experience. Announced on 28 November, the smartphone is aimed at users seeking a balance between visual identity, everyday performance, and long-term software support without paying a flagship price.
The Phone (3a) Lite builds on Nothing’s design-led approach, combining a transparent aesthetic with practical hardware choices. It is designed to compete in the entry-level to mid-range segment, where price sensitivity is high but expectations around camera quality, display performance, and durability continue to rise. By introducing this model, Nothing is extending its reach while maintaining a consistent brand identity across its growing product line.
A familiar design with practical durability
The Phone (3a) Lite reinterprets Nothing’s transparent design in a more understated form, blending playful visual elements with a restrained overall finish. Encased in glass and available in Black and White, the device is positioned as feeling deliberately crafted rather than mass-produced. The company describes the phone’s textures, balance, and finish as features that elevate it beyond typical entry-level devices.
Durability has also been a key focus. The phone carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for everyday use in varied environments. Internally, an aluminium battery frame reinforces the structure, contributing to improved longevity and robustness over time. These design choices reflect an effort to pair visual appeal with practical resilience.
Camera, Glyph Light, and the Nothing OS experience
Photography is led by a triple-camera system centred on a 50 MP main sensor. The camera uses the same TrueLens Engine 4.0 processing pipeline found in the flagship Nothing Phone (3), bringing advanced computational photography features to a more affordable device. The 1/1.57-inch Samsung sensor is designed to capture 64 percent more light than typical sensors in its category, supporting improved performance in low-light and high-contrast scenes.
Camera features include Ultra XDR photography, Portrait Mode, Auto Tone, Night Mode, Macro Mode, and Motion Capture. Video capabilities include 4K recording at 30 frames per second and 1080p slow-motion at 120 frames per second. A 16 MP front camera supports selfies and video calls, delivering consistent image quality across common use cases.
The Phone (3a) Lite also introduces Glyph Light, an evolution of Nothing’s signature Glyph Interface. Inspired by classic notification lights, it supports features such as Flip to Glyph for silent alerts, Essential Notifications for priority contacts, and Camera Countdown for group photography. Customisable light patterns for calls and contacts are paired with Nothing’s distinctive ringtones, reinforcing the brand’s visual and audio identity.
On the software side, the device runs Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15. The interface focuses on clarity and functional customisation, with features including Smart Drawer for automatic app organisation, Private Space for sensitive files, and App Locker for individual app security. Nothing has committed to three years of major Android updates and six years of security patches, with Nothing OS 4.0 scheduled to roll out to the Phone (3a) Lite in early 2026. AI-powered tools such as Essential Key, Essential Space, and Essential Search support offline content organisation and quick access to saved information.
Display, performance, and availability in Singapore
The Phone (3a) Lite features a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with a peak HDR brightness of 3000 nits and outdoor brightness of 1300 nits. The FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2392 delivers a pixel density of 387 pixels per inch, while a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate supports smooth scrolling and responsive interactions. With 10-bit colour depth displaying up to 1.07 billion colours and 2160 Hz PWM dimming, the screen is designed to offer both visual impact and reduced eye strain.
Performance is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, built on TSMC’s 4 nm process. The octa-core processor reaches speeds of up to 2.5 GHz and is paired with an advanced liquid cooling system to maintain stability during sustained workloads and gaming. The device includes 8 GB of physical RAM, with support for up to 8 GB of virtual RAM, allowing for a combined total of up to 16 GB. Storage is expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card. Connectivity features include dual 5G support, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3.
Battery capacity stands at 5000 mAh, with Nothing stating that the device can last close to two days under mixed usage. Charging is supported at up to 33 W, reaching 50 percent in around 20 minutes, alongside 5 W reverse wired charging for accessories.
In Singapore, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite is priced at S$349 for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant. It is available in Black and White, with sales starting on Friday, 28 November, through Nothing.tech and selected online and retail partners.
