Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is set to launch with notable upgrades

Discover the upgraded Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, launching July 31. It features improved performance, an enhanced camera, and faster charging.

Carl Pei’s Nothing company is gearing up to launch a new variant of its budget-friendly Nothing handset, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, on July 31.

According to leaks from Smartprix and Nothing, the new Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro SoC. This octa-core processor promises to be about 10% faster than the original Nothing Phone (2a). The device will come in two RAM configurations, 8GB and 12GB, providing options for different user needs. In terms of graphical performance, the G610 MC4 GPU will offer a 30% boost, making the phone more efficient at handling graphically intensive tasks.

Same size, new finish

Despite being called a “Plus” model, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will retain the same display size as its predecessor. However, it will be available in two colour options, grey and black, with a slightly different finish than the original phone (2a). These subtle design changes aim to give the phone a fresh look while maintaining its familiar size and form.

Enhanced camera and charging capabilities

One of the standout features of the Phone (2a) Plus is the improved selfie camera. The front-facing camera has been upgraded from a 32MP sensor to a 50MP sensor, which should result in significantly higher-quality selfies and video calls. Additionally, the charging capacity has been increased to 50W, up from 45W. This upgrade means you can expect faster charging times, making it more convenient for users who are always on the go.

The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will come with 256GB of storage, offering space for apps, photos, and other data. This enhancement ensures you won’t run out of space quickly, allowing you to keep all your important files and media easily accessible.

Minor but meaningful upgrades

While the changes from the original Nothing Phone (2a) might seem minor, they are focused on internal improvements rather than significant physical or design changes. The “Plus” designation highlights these performance and efficiency enhancements, making the new model a worthy upgrade for those who want better speed, graphics, and camera quality.

Overall, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is set to offer a more refined experience with its upgraded internals and enhanced features. Whether you’re looking for better performance, improved camera quality, or faster charging, this new variant aims to deliver on all fronts.
