OneByZero has raised US$20 million in a Series A round led by Jungle Ventures, securing its first external funding. The Singapore-headquartered AI deployment company plans to use the capital to expand its engineering teams across existing markets, establish operations in Japan, enter additional industries, and invest further in its NEO platform and AI Coworkers.
Over the past three years, OneByZero has deployed AI within large and regulated enterprises across financial services, telecommunications and retail, according to the company, which reported that revenue has more than doubled annually during that period. Its engineers work alongside customer teams to identify potential AI applications, integrate them into existing systems and workflows, and continue improving them after deployment.
First external funding supports regional expansion
OneByZero currently operates across nine markets, comprising Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the US and Vietnam. The Series A will support additional engineering capacity and customer relationships across these markets, while the company plans to build a local team in Japan.
The funding will also support expansion into more industries. Having worked with enterprises in financial services, telecommunications and retail, OneByZero now plans to extend its operations into conglomerates, healthcare and the public sector. The company claims its existing deployments have automated more than 90% of some customer-facing interactions, generated measurable cost savings and accelerated the delivery of complex data modernisation by 50%.
“Every enterprise can now get access to powerful AI,” said Niket Vaidya, CEO and Co-Founder of OneByZero. “The value comes when it runs inside the systems that run the business, under the company’s own rules, and gets better every week. That is the work we do every day, and this funding lets us do more of it, in more markets, and more industries.”
NEO provides governance for enterprise AI deployments
OneByZero combines its engineering teams with AI Coworkers, which it describes as governed AI agents with defined roles and controls. Under this model, AI handles high-volume work and speed, while people retain judgement and accountability. Deployments run on NEO, OneByZero’s AI deployment platform and control layer for its enterprise AI systems. The platform includes reusable components and governance features, including a record of every agent action, while allowing companies to define what AI can do and where human judgement is required.
“We have built NEO so companies can define what AI is allowed to do, where human judgement is required and how every system is governed. That foundation lets them introduce more capable AI without losing control,” said Vibhore Kumar, PhD, CTO and Co-Founder of OneByZero.
Part of the Series A will go towards further development of NEO and AI Coworkers. OneByZero plans to build industry templates on the platform and support enterprises developing their own AI using open-weight and small language models.
Local engineering teams remain central to deployments
OneByZero relies on local teams familiar with each market’s context, regulators, languages and systems. Its forward-deployed engineers remain involved after deployment to operate and improve the systems alongside customer teams.
Jungle Ventures Managing Partner Yash Sankrityayan said OneByZero’s experience deploying AI inside large and complex organisations was a factor in the investment. He cited the company’s three years of deployment work and reported results as enterprises across Asia Pacific and Japan move AI from experimentation into core operations.
