Pinterest and Shopee have introduced an affiliate partnership across Indonesia and Brazil, enabling eligible Shopee Affiliate creators to connect their accounts with Pinterest. Through this arrangement, creators can recommend Shopee products directly within their Pins and videos.

Under the terms of the Shopee Affiliate programme, participating creators can tag items in their visual content and earn commissions whenever shoppers complete qualifying purchases. The launch introduces affiliate commerce on Pinterest in Indonesia for the first time. At the same time, the rollout broadens the platform’s creator-commerce partnerships throughout Brazil.

Creators can tag multiple Shopee products in one post

Once their accounts are connected, eligible creators can locate Shopee Affiliate products within Pinterest and add them to Pins or videos. Creators also have the option to apply relevant Shopee affiliate links automatically to eligible products.

Multiple items can be tagged in a single piece of content, allowing creators to group recommendations around an outfit, a beauty routine, a home setup, or a broader product collection. Users can then follow those recommendations to Shopee, where qualifying purchases generate commissions for the creator. This integration connects Shopee’s existing Affiliate Programme with Pinterest’s visual discovery platform, giving participating creators another place to distribute product recommendations. Peggy Zhu, Executive Director, Brand and Growth Marketing at Shopee, described creator commerce as part of the process through which shoppers discover and evaluate products.

“Commerce does not begin only at the point of purchase. It starts when people discover an idea, explore their options, and decide what fits their needs. At Shopee, we see creator-commerce as part of this broader journey, connecting creators and businesses with shoppers through content and technology. Our work with Pinterest reflects this approach by linking visual discovery with Shopee’s commerce ecosystem.”

Fashion and beauty searches underpin the partnership

Pinterest users regularly search the platform for ideas across categories including fashion, beauty, and home. The Shopee integration allows eligible creators to attach relevant product recommendations directly to that content and guide interested users to Shopee.

According to Pinterest, Gen Z is its largest and fastest-growing audience, accounting for more than 50% of its global user base. Internal search data highlights growing interest in fashion and beauty among these users, whom Pinterest defined as individuals aged 18 to 24 for the metrics. In Brazil, searches for inspiração de look, or “outfit inspiration”, rose 281% year-on-year during the first half of 2026 compared with the same period in 2025. Over that same timeframe, searches for produk kecantikan, or “beauty products”, in Indonesia increased 83%.

Ayumi Nakajima, Senior Director, Content Partnerships, APAC at Pinterest, said users often arrive on the platform while exploring what to buy next, with creators helping them discover products through recommendations. The partnership connects those recommendations with products available through Shopee.

The multi-product tagging feature also allows creators to present related items together in a cohesive layout. Fashion creators can include the individual pieces used in a complete look, whilst beauty creators can group products used in a makeup or skincare routine. This gives users the option to explore individual items or examine the wider selection.
