Powerbeats Pro 2 launched with heart rate monitoring, ANC, and improved fit

Apple launches Powerbeats Pro 2, which offers heart rate monitoring, ANC, improved fit, and up to 45 hours of battery life. It is available now for US$329.

Apple has unveiled the Powerbeats Pro 2, the latest wireless earbuds designed for active users. As the successor to the 2019 Powerbeats Pro, this new version brings significant upgrades, making it an even better companion for workouts and daily use.

Advanced features for fitness enthusiasts

One of the standout features of the Powerbeats Pro 2 is its real-time heart rate monitoring, thanks to LED optical sensors. These sensors pulse light over 100 times per second to measure blood flow, providing accurate heart rate data that can integrate seamlessly with third-party fitness apps. This makes the earbuds an excellent choice for those who want to track their fitness progress more effectively.

Apple has also improved the overall design. The Powerbeats Pro 2 is 20% lighter than its predecessor, offering enhanced comfort during long workout sessions. The ear hooks have been updated for a more secure fit, ensuring they stay in place even during intense movement.

Another major addition is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which helps block out background noise, allowing you to focus on your workout or music. The upgraded venting system improves airflow, and the acoustic architecture is redesigned to improve sound quality.

Smarter technology and longer battery life

Equipped with Apple’s H2 chip, the same as found in the AirPods Pro 2, the Powerbeats Pro 2 supports voice isolation. This feature uses machine learning to enhance your voice while reducing background noise, making calls clearer in any environment. The earbuds also come with Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, providing an immersive listening experience.

Battery life is another highlight. The Powerbeats Pro 2 offers up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 45 hours when using the charging case. This ensures that users can enjoy uninterrupted music and calls throughout the day.

With an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, the earbuds are designed to withstand intense workouts and outdoor activities. Apple has also included five ear tip sizes, allowing users to find the perfect fit for maximum comfort and noise isolation.

Availability and pricing

The Powerbeats Pro 2 is available now on the Apple Online Store for US$329. It comes in four vibrant colours: Electric Orange, Hyper Purple, Quick Sand, and Jet Black.

The earbuds are expected to be available soon in official Apple stores on Lazada and Shopee.

With enhanced features, improved design, and advanced technology, the Powerbeats Pro 2 is a strong contender for those seeking high-performance wireless earbuds for workouts and everyday use.
