ROG reveals the availability of the world’s most powerful dual screen gaming laptop in Singapore

All-new ROG Nebula Display with Dual Spec Panel for glorious gaming

Republic of Gamers (ROG) is proud to announce the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650), a dual screen laptop with flagship components and top-tier performance. Featuring the brand-new Nebula Display paired with incredibly powerful CPU and GPU options, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650) is here to elevate your experience. Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme and AAS Plus 2.0 ensure that the Zephyrus Duo 16 stays cool in all conditions.

Incredible ROG Nebula Display

The ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650)’s main display has been upgraded to a 16:10 aspect ratio, allowing more real estate with ultra slim bezels and an incredible 91% screen-to-body ratio. For 2022, the Duo 16 has the incredible upgraded ROG Nebula Display. The ROG Nebula Display is an entire certification for laptop gaming displays. All Nebula displays require 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space for vivid colours, at least 500 nits of brightness, and a fast refresh rate with a 3ms response time or less. They are Pantone Validated, ensuring you see colours exactly as the creator intended, and support Dolby Vision HDR for games and movies. With Adaptive-Sync, motion will stay smooth, consistent, and tear-free. And Nebula displays have received TÜV Certification for their low blue light and flicker reduction. It also means a minimum refresh rate of 120Hz for 4K, 120Hz for QHD and 240Hz for Full HD resolution.

The panel ROG co-developed with BOE is an ROG exclusive Dual Spec Panel. This incredible display offers users the choice between two modes: 4K at 120Hz, ideal for high-fidelity immersive experiences; and 1080p at 240Hz, which allows for super-fast reaction times in competitive e-sports play. In the 240Hz mode, ROG Pixel Acceleration Technology will scale the Full HD image using four physical pixels for every one digital pixel, creating a clean, ultra-fast image. Gamers no longer need to choose between a high refresh rate display or one with higher resolution — the Dual Spec panel allows gamers the best of both worlds in a single display.

One machine, two screens

Raise your game with the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650). Featuring ROG ScreenPad Plus, this 4K, 14.1” secondary screen reinvents what’s possible on a laptop. Host your favorite apps on ROG ScreenPad Plus while you game, and never have to worry about minimizing your match. With robust Windows 11 support, quickly switch between apps or rearrange the screens when your priorities change.

When the main lid is raised to open the machine, the ROG ScreenPad Plus automatically rises to match, settling in at a 13-degree angle for maximum ergonomics and airflow. The engineering team developed and patented a brand new four-directional hinge that allows ROG ScreenPad Plus to slide back while raising at the same pace. When at full height, the two screens sit flush with each other, creating a nearly bezel-free viewing experience for unparalleled immersion. ROG’s AAS Plus 2.0 system takes advantage of the 28.5mm free space between the screen and chassis to take in 30% more fresh air than traditional gaming laptop designs.

Performance leadership

High-end hardware drives the performance of the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650). AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU provide more than enough horsepower to maintain high refresh rates in the latest AAA titles. Not content to stop there, ROG also equipped the machine with 64GB of blazing fast DDR5 memory clocked at 4800MHz, as well as 4TB of PCIe Gen 4×4 storage in a RAID 0 array. Both the DDR5 SO-DIMMs and NVMe storage drives are easily accessible for future upgrades. No game, content creation project, or multitasking situation is too mighty for the power of the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650). All of these improvements come in an even smaller chassis than last year.

This high-end hardware requires high-end cooling. Previous generations of the ROG Zephyrus Duo used liquid metal thermal compound for high-efficiency thermal transfer. New for 2022, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650) is equipped with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal. This amazing material has 17 times higher thermal conductivity than traditional thermal pastes, allowing the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650) to run 15°C cooler. Lower temperatures allow the CPU and GPU to boost higher for longer, coaxing even more performance from this powerful machine. Thanks to this high-performance liquid metal, the max TGP of the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650) has been increased to a staggering 165W. The indium and galium based compound will not dry out or lose thermal efficiency over time, giving gamers reliability and peace of mind for years to come.

In addition, the ROG Zephryus Duo 16 (GX650) comes equipped with a MUX Switch to make the most of every frame. By default, most modern laptops route the GPU’s frames through the CPU’s integrated graphics for better battery life. But with a MUX switch, you can enable a direct GPU mode that reduces latency and boosts performance by an average of 9%. In competitive games where a few frames can be the difference between winning and losing, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650) leaves no performance on the table.
