vivo introduces X200 FE, its first compact telephoto flagship smartphone

vivo launches the X200 FE in Singapore, a compact flagship with telephoto imaging, ZEISS optics, and powerful performance in a lightweight body.

vivo has launched the X200 FE in Singapore, its first compact telephoto flagship model in the X series. Designed to combine high performance, advanced imaging, and portability, the device aims to redefine expectations of what a compact smartphone can offer. It is built for young professionals and creative users who value style, functionality, and one-handed usability.

Compact design with premium features

The vivo X200 FE is designed with a slim 71.76mm width and a 6.31-inch flat screen, weighing just 186g. Despite its compact size, the phone retains a robust and premium build, using aerospace-grade aluminium and featuring a precision internal layout for balanced weight distribution. The phone’s minimalist camera module takes up only 9% of the rear surface, and the entire body measures 7.99mm in thickness.

Inspired by the “squircle” design—a hybrid of square and circle—the X200 FE features a smooth, ergonomic look and feel. The Rhythm Eye camera module enhances grip comfort, while the Metallic Sand Anti-Glare finish offers a 40% improvement in surface texture over traditional AG coatings. Available in expressive shades of Blue and Black, the phone is positioned as a fashionable yet durable option. It holds multiple certifications for protection, including IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, SGS Triple Protection Certification, and military-grade durability.

The phone’s ZEISS Master Color Display supports 1.5K LTPO resolution and a peak brightness of 1800 nits in High Brightness Mode. It also incorporates 2160Hz PWM dimming and is SGS Low Blue Light certified, enabling comfortable viewing even during extended use.

Flagship-grade photography in a compact size

The X200 FE continues vivo’s partnership with ZEISS, bringing professional-level photography features to a smaller device. It includes a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera equipped with Sony’s IMX882 Ultra-Sensitive Sensor and AI Telephoto Enhance, ideal for capturing details in various scenes such as architecture and nature. The newly designed periscope lens uses a trapezoidal prism and M-shaped optical path, reducing lens size without compromising image quality.

The device supports Multifocal Portrait capabilities with focal lengths from 23mm to 100mm, allowing for various photographic styles—from wide landscape shots to detailed close-ups. Users can also take advantage of seven ZEISS-style bokeh effects and cinematic flare rendering to create stylised portraits. A new Stage Mode enhances live scene photography, while Street Photography Mode can be activated by double-pressing the volume down button, enabling users to capture spontaneous moments without needing to unlock the phone.

The X200 FE also supports iPhone-compatible Live Photo format, allowing easier cross-platform sharing. Additionally, the AI Image Studio includes tools such as AI Magic Move, AI Image Expander, and AI Reflection Erase, which allow users to refine their images with minimal effort.

Performance built for everyday speed and endurance

Despite its compact form factor, the X200 FE is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, offering fast processing and near-instantaneous file loading. It is designed to support heavy multitasking and gaming, with additional features like Stereo Dual Speakers, Multi-Scenario NFC, and Infrared Remote Control to adapt to various use cases.

The device is backed by a 6500mAh BlueVolt Battery and 90W FlashCharge technology, which allows quick top-ups and long-lasting usage. vivo claims the phone supports up to 9.5 hours of continuous gaming, 25.4 hours of YouTube playback, and nearly 45 hours of voice calls on a full charge.

Availability in Singapore

The vivo X200 FE will be available in Singapore from 12 July 2025, priced from S$999. Pre-orders run from 5 to 11 July through Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and authorised retailers such as Challenger, Best Denki, Courts, Gain City, Popular, and Harvey Norman. It will also be available through local telcos.
