Table Of Content
The V70 centres on ZEISS co-engineered imaging and video features, while the V70 FE prioritises higher-resolution photography and a larger battery capacity.
Two models, different imaging approaches
The V70 features a 50 MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera with a 1/1.95-inch sensor and optical image stabilisation, supported by a periscope design for higher zoom levels. Its rear system also includes a 50 MP ZEISS OIS main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and an 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera, while the front camera is a 50 MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera with autofocus.
The device introduces AI Stage Mode, designed for stage photography, combining telephoto zoom and AI image enhancement to achieve up to 10x zoom. ZEISS Multifocal Portrait adds portrait options such as 85 mm and 100 mm focal lengths.
The V70 FE takes a different approach with a 200 MP High Resolution Mode, supported by a 1/1.56-inch sensor and optical image stabilisation, with up to 30x zoom through telephoto enhancement. Ultra-Clear Photo Crop allows multiple images to be extracted from a single photo while retaining detail, with zoom levels reaching up to 900%.
Both models include AI-based editing tools such as AI Magic Weather, AI Magic Landscape, AI Retouch, AI Erase, and AI Color Adjustment, supporting post-capture adjustments directly on the device.
Battery and performance across the lineup
Battery capacity differs between the two models. The V70 FE carries a 7000 mAh BlueVolt Battery with 90W FlashCharge, while the V70 includes a 6500 mAh battery with the same charging support.
For the V70 FE, vivo states up to 43.8 hours of YouTube playback under lab conditions. It can also run across multiple applications for up to 16 hours while retaining 14% battery, with a Super Battery Saver mode offering up to 21.6 hours of standby or 157 minutes of talk time at 5%.
The V70 focuses more on performance features, including LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.1 storage, and a 4200 mm² vapour chamber for thermal management. It is designed to support gaming, video editing, and multitasking, alongside network features such as Dual-Bridge Signal Concurrency.
Both models run on OriginOS 6 and support 90W FlashCharge.
V70 leans premium, V70 FE stays lightweight
The V70 introduces a new design with an Aerospace-Grade Aluminium Alloy Frame, ultra-thin bezels, and a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and 459 PPI. It also includes 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0 and a fingerprint-resistant etched glass back, with colour options including Golden Hour and Alpine Grey.
The V70 FE adopts a slimmer and lighter build at 7.59 mm and 200 g, using a gradient finish created through the Radiant Flow Process. It is available in Muse Purple and Ocean Blue.
Both models include IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, with testing for submersion in fresh water under controlled conditions.
Shared software, with added features on V70
The V70 series runs OriginOS 6, which introduces features such as Origin Island for notifications and task management.
AI tools across both devices include AI Search, AI Creation, and AI Captions, alongside support for Google Gemini. Connectivity features include One-Tap Transfer and vivo Office Kit, enabling file sharing and cross-device workflows.
The V70 adds features such as Copy & Go, Drag & Go, and Suggestion Island, alongside support for four generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
