Alongside the handset, Vivo has also introduced a separately sold teleconverter kit designed to extend the zoom capabilities of the device’s camera system. The accessory complements the phone’s photography-focused positioning, which has been central to the X300 Ultra’s marketing in the months leading up to its release.
An advanced camera system designed for photography enthusiasts
The Vivo X300 Ultra places a strong emphasis on imaging, featuring what the company calls its ZEISS Master Lenses Collection. This includes three primary rear cameras covering focal lengths of 85mm, 35mm, and 14mm, targeting telephoto, main, and ultra-wide photography, respectively. The system is developed in partnership with ZEISS, a long-time collaborator with Vivo on camera technologies.
The 85mm telephoto lens, described as a gimbal-grade APO camera, uses a 200MP sensor and supports autofocus tracking at 60 frames per second. It also incorporates optical image stabilisation designed to reduce motion blur in handheld shooting. Meanwhile, the 35mm main camera adopts a less common focal length for smartphones, paired with a large 200MP sensor—the 14mm ultra-wide camera rounds out the system, featuring a 50MP sensor and stabilisation.
Additional imaging capabilities include a dedicated colour-sensing camera that captures multispectral data to improve colour accuracy. Vivo states that its colour science has been benchmarked against professional cameras, aiming to deliver more realistic tones in both photos and videos.
The optional Photographer Kit further expands the camera’s capabilities by introducing two teleconverters, offering extended focal lengths of 200mm and 400mm. These attachments enable high-resolution output across multiple zoom levels while maintaining autofocus tracking performance. The kit also includes accessories such as a grip with physical controls, adapter rings, and mounting options, positioning it as a tool for more serious photography use.
Video features on the device include support for 10-bit HDR processing and recording at up to 4K resolution at 120 frames per second. Both Log and Dolby Vision formats are supported, giving users flexibility in post-production workflows.
Flagship hardware and software features
Beyond its camera system, the Vivo X300 Ultra is positioned as a premium flagship smartphone with high-end specifications. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, supported by an additional imaging chip designed to enhance photo and video processing. A vapour chamber cooling system is included to maintain performance during demanding tasks such as high-resolution video recording.
The device is equipped with a 6,600mAh battery, supporting fast wired charging at 100W and wireless charging at 40W. Temperature management features are integrated to ensure safe charging and sustained performance.
On the front, the phone features a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. The panel reaches peak brightness of 4,500 nits, and Vivo describes it as a colour-accurate display suited for viewing and editing photos.
Durability features include IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The handset also incorporates an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a communication feature that prioritises network resources during high-demand scenarios, such as purchasing event tickets online.
The X300 Ultra runs on OriginOS 6, the company’s international operating system, replacing its previous software approach in global markets. Vivo has committed to five years of operating system updates and seven years of security support for the device.
Pricing, availability and bundled accessories
In Singapore, the Vivo X300 Ultra is available in a single configuration offering 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The device is priced at S$2,499 and comes in two colour options: Steppe Green and Volcano Black.
A bundled version that includes the Photographer Kit is priced at S$3,299, indicating an additional cost of S$800 for the accessories. The kit is not sold separately; it is packaged with the smartphone.
Pre-orders for the device began on 30 April and will run until 8 May 2026, with general availability starting on 9 May. The handset will be sold through online platforms and local telecommunications partners.
Customers who pre-order the device will receive additional accessories, including wireless earbuds and a smartwatch, while stocks last. Warranty coverage includes two years of local support along with a limited screen care programme.
The inclusion of a comprehensive photography kit alongside a high-end smartphone highlights Vivo’s strategy to target users seeking advanced mobile imaging capabilities, particularly those interested in extending their photography beyond standard smartphone features.
