LG Electronics has introduced the LG WallFit Air Purifier AS60GLSG0 to Singapore, pairing a slender floor-standing profile with automated air-quality control and multi-stage filtration. The appliance is engineered to service residential spaces measuring up to 59.4 square metres. It pulls ambient air through a front-facing intake before circulating the purified output across the room via LG’s Dual Airflow system.

Everyday performance is guided by an AI Mode that continuously assesses indoor conditions to adjust fan speed as air quality changes. Particulate capture and gas reduction are handled in tandem by an integrated 3-Stage V Filter.

Designed to sit closer to the wall

Finished in Calming Beige, the LG WallFit has a flat profile designed to sit close to walls or slot neatly into narrower spaces. Elevated legs create clear space beneath the unit, allowing household floors to be cleaned without having to move the purifier.

Air drawn through the front intake travels through the Dual Airflow system for room-wide distribution, passing first through the unit’s multi-tier filtration mechanism. Here, the primary 3-Stage V Filter collects larger debris including dust, hair and pet fur, with LG citing KCL testing that demonstrated a 99.999% removal rate for particles as small as 0.01 µm. The filter also targets harmful indoor gaseous pollutants, specifically reducing toluene, ammonia and formaldehyde. Households requiring more specialised purification can choose from five optional filters designed to address pet odours, cooking smells, smoke, allergens and formaldehyde.

LG also references laboratory test results for reductions in airborne microorganisms, where KCL documented a 99.9% reduction in airborne mould, alongside KTL tests showing reductions of 99% for airborne bacteria and 98.6% for airborne viruses. However, these figures were obtained under controlled chamber conditions rather than typical domestic settings. Supporting documentation from LG notes that evaluations relied on AS18-series and AS60-series test models rather than citing the AS60GLSG0 retail unit for every published result, with testing conducted on Turbo or maximum airflow settings depending on the specific trial.

AI Mode adjusts operation as air quality changes

AI Mode continuously analyses indoor air quality and regulates fan speeds in response to changing room conditions. Once clean air levels are achieved, the purifier adjusts fan operation to curtail electricity use. LG cites testing conducted by TÜV Rheinland, which recorded a 30.5% improvement in cumulative energy consumption when using the AI Mode energy-saving feature compared with standard Auto Mode, measured across eight hours under controlled conditions.

Unlocking this energy-saving performance requires users to enable the setting within the LG ThinQ app. Should ThinQ remain unconnected or the setting left unconfigured, activating AI Mode will simply cause the purifier to run in standard Auto Mode.

Beyond energy management, the ThinQ platform provides remote monitoring of indoor air quality and allows owners to cycle between AI Mode, Purify Mode and Sleep Mode. The app also sends proactive notifications when filter replacements are due. Utilising these smart tools requires an active internet and Wi-Fi connection, whereas Bluetooth is used strictly during initial device setup and pairing.

Maintenance focuses on easier access

Physical maintenance is streamlined through several protective design choices, starting with a Top Outlet Vane that shuts when the device is powered down to prevent dust from settling into the air outlet. When filter servicing or replacement is required, the front cover detaches without tools to grant direct access to the interior components. To preserve internal cleanliness over prolonged use, an integrated ioniser works to curb bacterial growth on internal parts, which LG states can reduce bacteria by up to 99.6%.

The LG WallFit Air Purifier AS60GLSG0 is now available for purchase in Singapore. Consumers can acquire the unit through the LG Online Brand Store as well as authorised local retail partners.
