XPENG unveils refreshed G6 coupe SUV in Singapore with new AWD performance model

[output_post_excerpt]

XPENG has launched the updated G6 coupe SUV in Singapore, featuring a redesigned exterior, a more refined interior and improved technology. The refreshed model introduces a new Dual-Motor AWD Performance variant, joining the existing Long-Range RWD option, and offers faster charging, upgraded comfort features and advanced driver assistance systems.

Sleeker design and upgraded comfort

The new G6 sports a fastback silhouette with clean lines and a bolder presence on the road. Measuring 4,758mm in length and 1,920mm in width, it features a long front overhang that flows into a full-width light bar, while the rear showcases a redesigned tailgate with a ducktail spoiler. Buyers can choose from five exterior colours, including Arctic White, Silver Frost, Graphite Grey, Midnight Black and the newly introduced Stellar Purple. The car rides on distinctive 20-inch “petal-style” alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin has been enhanced to deliver a premium and spacious experience. Nappa leather seats now come with massage, heating and ventilation functions, while a panoramic glass roof with UV and thermal protection fills the interior with natural light. 256-colour ambient lighting adds to the cabin’s luxury feel, and double-pane front windows help keep noise levels low. A 960W, 18-speaker XPENG Xopera Surround Sound System provides immersive 7.1.4 audio. The driver’s seat features 10-way electric adjustment with memory, while rear passengers enjoy reclining backrests, generous legroom and multiple storage compartments. Boot capacity starts at 571 litres and expands to 1,374 litres when the rear seats are folded.

Strong performance and ultra-fast charging

For the first time in Singapore, the G6 is available as a Dual-Motor AWD Performance model, delivering 358kW and 660Nm of torque. This version accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 202km/h. The Single-Motor RWD Long-Range variant remains in the line-up with 218kW and 440Nm of torque, achieving a 0–100km/h time of 6.7 seconds. Both models offer impressive range, with up to 510km for the AWD and 525km for the RWD on the WLTP cycle.

Built on XPENG’s next-generation 800V high-voltage SiC platform, the G6 supports ultra-fast 5C DC charging, taking the battery from 10% to 80% in around 12 minutes with up to 451kW capacity. The Vehicle-to-Load system has been upgraded to deliver 6kW, allowing owners to power external devices. Drivers can select from multiple modes, including the new Launch mode for rapid acceleration, while X-pedal mode enables single-pedal driving for improved energy regeneration.

Advanced safety and intelligent technology

The G6 meets ENCAP five-star standards and uses a High-Strength Steel–Aluminium Hybrid Frame with integrated battery protection for added safety. It is equipped with seven airbags and a multi-layer battery safeguard system that protects against impact and fire risks.

Intelligent driver assistance features are powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin-X platform, with three millimetre-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors and 12 cameras providing 360-degree awareness. Key functions include adaptive cruise control, lane centring, active lane changes and intelligent speed limit assistance. The XPILOT system also supports automated parking and remote control features.

Continuous Over-the-Air software updates keep the G6 evolving. Recent updates add improved co-pilot driving, Pet Mode for added safety when animals remain in the vehicle, integrated karaoke through the KaraFun app and enhanced climate and charging controls tailored to global markets.

Pricing and availability

The XPENG G6 Dual-Motor AWD Performance variant is priced at S$265,999, while the Long-Range RWD model retails at S$235,999. Both are available for viewing and test drives at the XPENG showroom at 281 Alexandra Road in Singapore. Each vehicle comes with a five-year or 120,000km warranty and battery coverage of up to 10 years or 200,000km.

The G6 will be showcased at The Car Expo 2025 on 27 and 28 September at Singapore Expo Hall 4, following its first public appearance at the Charge+ launch event earlier in the month. XPENG also confirmed a partnership with Charge+ to expand access to high-powered charging stations across Southeast Asia, supporting long-distance electric vehicle travel.
