Zeekr expands Singapore lineup with new Category A Zeekr X Urban

Zeekr launches the Category A Zeekr X Urban in Singapore, making its premium compact EV more accessible with competitive pricing and market reach.

Zeekr has introduced the Zeekr X Urban in Singapore, expanding its electric vehicle (EV) range and making the brand’s premium compact SUV more accessible to a wider group of drivers. The new variant falls under the Category A Certificate of Entitlement (COE) band, appealing to motorists seeking a high-quality EV at a more attainable price.

Broader access to electric mobility

First launched locally in August 2024, the Zeekr X has attracted attention for its sleek design, spacious interior, and technology-driven features. The Zeekr X Urban retains the core qualities of the original model, such as dynamic performance and advanced driver-focused technology, but with a powertrain adjusted to qualify for Category A. It features a 110kW rear motor producing 343Nm of torque and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 8.7 seconds, compared with 5.6 seconds for the Category B version. The model also delivers a 441km WLTP range, similar to its higher-powered sibling.

With these specifications, Zeekr aims to meet the needs of more drivers, particularly those who want to switch to electric vehicles but remain within Category A requirements. “With the introduction of Zeekr X Urban, we’re excited to deliver an intelligent, performance-driven EV that caters to a wider range of driving needs,” said Isabel Hong, General Manager of Premium Automobiles. “This reinforces our commitment to offering vehicles that suit different lifestyles and licensing categories, without compromising on the Zeekr experience.”

Competitive pricing and market rollout

Pricing for the Zeekr X Urban starts at S$205,999, with a special launch price of S$189,999 available at the upcoming Car Expo Singapore on 27 and 28 September. The vehicle will be on display alongside other Zeekr models, offering visitors the chance to explore the brand’s growing portfolio.

From early October, the Zeekr X Urban will be available for viewing and test drives at Zeekr Centre Singapore on Leng Kee Road and the newly opened Zeekr House on Ubi Road. These showrooms will also showcase the brand’s other electric vehicles and provide customers with tailored support.

Strengthening Zeekr’s local presence

The launch of the Zeekr X Urban underscores the brand’s strategy to expand its footprint in Singapore and strengthen its appeal among EV buyers. Zeekr, part of Geely Holding Group, has been rapidly growing its presence globally, with more than 520,000 vehicles delivered since October 2021. The company has announced plans to expand into additional international markets over the next five years to meet rising global EV demand.

Premium Automobiles, Zeekr’s exclusive retail partner in Singapore since 2024, is supporting this push with its established reputation in the automotive industry and focus on personalised customer service. Its collaboration with Zeekr highlights the potential for growth in Singapore’s electric mobility market as more drivers seek sustainable and technologically advanced options.
