BenQ has expanded its monitor lighting range in Singapore with the ScreenBar Max, designed for dual-monitor workstations, and the iScreenBar, developed specifically for iMac users. Both products provide desk illumination while minimising screen reflections, featuring distinct lighting systems and controls tailored to their respective setups.

The launch coincides with the tenth anniversary of BenQ’s ScreenBar range. Intended for users who spend extended periods working at screens in offices or home workspaces, the new lineup caters to different hardware environments. The ScreenBar Max is built to distribute light across wider, multi-display workstations, while the iScreenBar pairs automatic lighting adjustment with dedicated software controls for individual macOS applications.

JC Pan, Head of the Digital Lifestyle Products Business Unit at BenQ Corp, attributed the company’s asymmetric lighting technology to optical expertise developed for its projectors. This approach is designed to illuminate work surfaces effectively while limiting screen glare and reducing the desk space required for lighting equipment.

ScreenBar Max provides wider lighting for dual-monitor setups

To accommodate horizontal, vertical or curved multi-monitor arrangements, the ScreenBar Max utilises BenQ’s ASYM-TriZone Light optical system. According to the company, it delivers targeted desktop illumination exceeding 1,400 lx, alongside a 36-degree shielding angle designed to reduce glare and visual fatigue during prolonged use.

An integrated ambient backlight is included to reduce the contrast between bright screens and darker surroundings. Users can adjust brightness and colour temperature in real time, and an automatic function responds to changing ambient conditions with lighting adjustments of up to 700 lx.

BenQ has tailored the device for professionals working with multiple displays, such as those involved in coding, financial analysis and other data-intensive tasks. Delivering illumination through a compact design that avoids occupying additional desk space, the ScreenBar Max has also received a 2026 Red Dot Design Award, according to BenQ.

iScreenBar introduces application-based lighting controls for iMac

Designed specifically for iMac users, the iScreenBar combines a monitor-mounted light with tight software integration. A dedicated macOS application allows brightness and colour temperature settings to be customised for individual programmes, enabling the lighting to adjust automatically according to the software currently in use. Automatic dimming provides further calibration by responding to surrounding lighting conditions throughout the day.

The unit incorporates BenQ’s ASYM-Light optical system, an anti-glare design deployed across the wider ScreenBar range. By minimising screen reflections and preserving display colour accuracy, the company says the system provides even desk lighting that is particularly suited to creative professionals working with visual content.

Featuring CNC-machined aluminium alloy construction and a metallic finish, the physical design is tailored to match the iMac aesthetic. A magnetic attachment allows the light to be installed and repositioned freely without claiming additional desk space. Although engineered specifically for iMac, the product is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.

For online meetings, a dedicated Video Call Mode adjusts facial illumination to provide a separate lighting option for the person seated in front of the screen. According to BenQ, the iScreenBar has received a 2026 iF Design Award as well as a Red Dot Design Award.

Singapore pricing and the wider ScreenBar range

The ScreenBar Max retails for S$519, while the iScreenBar, available in silver, is priced at S$319. Both models are available through BenQ Singapore’s official Shopee and Lazada stores, alongside selected retailers.

Until the 11.11 Double Day campaign, BenQ is offering introductory prices that reduce the ScreenBar Max to S$479 and the iScreenBar to S$289. These promotional rates represent savings of S$40 and S$30 respectively compared with regular retail prices.

The two new releases join BenQ’s existing range of monitor lighting and ergonomic accessories in Singapore. This lineup includes the ScreenBar Halo 2, which features an upgraded wireless controller and ambient backlighting designed to ease the contrast between a display and its surroundings. For iMac users, BenQ also offers the INFTYLAB Studio Arm, an ergonomic mount intended to improve screen positioning, free up desk space and support better posture in compact workspaces.

Rounding out the local lighting catalogue is the MindDuo 2 Kid Study Lamp, built with automatic presence detection, ambient dimming and wide lighting coverage for study desks. Alongside it sits the WiT E-Reading Desk Lamp, which uses a patented curved optical structure designed to provide 150% wider illumination for reading and multi-device setups. Finally, BenQ offers a dedicated piano lamp featuring a 3D optical design intended to illuminate all 88 keys and sheet music simultaneously.
