Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will begin streaming on Crunchyroll on 11 October, bringing an enhanced version of the Dragon Ball Super storyline to viewers across several regions, including Southeast Asia. Offered in a subtitled format, the series revisits the arrival of Beerus, the God of Destruction, and his encounter with Goku, updated with a combination of enhanced and all-new animation and visuals.

Produced by Toei Animation, the project draws from Akira Toriyama’s original story, character designs and creative vision. The series retains the Beerus storyline while updating its visual presentation through enhanced and newly produced material.

The Beerus storyline returns with revised animation

The story takes place several years after the battle against Majin Buu, unfolding during a period of peace on Earth. That calm is interrupted when Beerus awakens from a long sleep, prompting concern from Kai and Supreme Kai because of his power to destroy entire planets. After hearing rumours of a Saiyan who defeated Frieza, Beerus appears before Goku.

Their encounter develops into a confrontation involving Goku and his allies, placing Earth in danger as they face the God of Destruction. The official synopsis describes the resulting conflict as one that will shake the entire universe.

The narrative follows Beerus from his awakening through his search for the Saiyan responsible for Frieza’s defeat, a quest that leads him to Goku and establishes the central confrontation around which the enhanced edition is built. Toei Animation and Crunchyroll describe Dragon Ball Super: Beerus as an enhanced edition of the Dragon Ball Super storyline, combining enhanced and all-new animation and visuals while continuing to draw from Toriyama’s original story, character designs and creative vision.
