Ecovacs DEEBOT X11 wins gold award at IFA 2025

Ecovacs DEEBOT X11 wins Gold Award at IFA 2025, marking a milestone in AI-powered, sustainable home cleaning innovation.

Ecovacs has secured the Gold Award for Indoor Cleaning Technology Innovation at the IFA Global Product Technology Innovation Awards 2025 for its DEEBOT X11. The award, announced on 4 September in Berlin, underscores the company’s growing reputation as a leader in sustainable and intelligent home cleaning.

Innovation recognised on a global stage

IFA, one of the world’s most influential consumer technology trade shows, has long been a platform where companies showcase breakthroughs in innovation. Each year, the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards recognise products that combine cutting-edge technology with practical applications. Winning a gold award places Ecovacs alongside other international brands whose products are shaping the future of smart living.

The DEEBOT X11 stood out for several reasons. It introduces PowerBoost Technology, which enables uninterrupted cleaning across spaces of up to 1,000 square metres through rapid recharging and intelligent scheduling. It also debuts the OmniCyclone Station, the first bagless auto-emptying system of its kind, which reduces the use of disposable dust bags and lowers environmental impact. Alongside this, the upgraded OZMO ROLLER 2.0 system with TruEdge 3.0 delivers stronger stain removal and enhanced edge cleaning.

AI integration is another defining feature. The DEEBOT X11 incorporates AGENT YIKO, Ecovacs’ intelligent assistant powered by a large language model. Unlike traditional voice commands, it proactively plans and executes multi-step cleaning tasks based on spatial data and user preferences, setting a new standard for autonomous home cleaning.

A step forward for sustainable smart homes

Ecovacs’ recognition at IFA reflects broader industry trends where sustainability and autonomy are becoming central to consumer expectations. By eliminating the need for disposable bags, the DEEBOT X11 is expected to save millions of units of waste annually. Its ability to maintain uninterrupted runtime challenges the long-standing trade-off between battery size and coverage, offering a more efficient solution for larger homes and commercial spaces.

The award also comes as Ecovacs continues to strengthen its position globally. The company’s DEEBOT brand has led the robotic vacuum cleaner market in China for 10 consecutive years and is expanding its presence in Southeast Asia and other international markets.

Strengthening Ecovacs’ global presence

Chris Ma, Regional Head of Southeast Asia at Ecovacs, has highlighted the importance of the region in the company’s growth strategy. Rising demand for smart home technology, coupled with increasing awareness of sustainability, makes Southeast Asia a critical market for Ecovacs’ expansion. The award recognition at IFA provides additional momentum as the company continues to build its reputation worldwide.

For Ecovacs, the accolade affirms its mission of “Robotics for All” and validates its investment in research and development. In 2024, the company allocated more than US$120 million to R&D, with further investment in manufacturing facilities announced this year. The Gold Award demonstrates how these efforts are translating into products that address real consumer needs while advancing the industry’s sustainability goals.

Recognition at IFA Berlin

The IFA Global Product Technology Innovation Awards are judged by industry experts, analysts, and media representatives, making them one of the most credible honours in consumer technology. By receiving the Gold Award for Indoor Cleaning Technology Innovation, Ecovacs has not only strengthened its brand image but also highlighted how robotics can contribute to smarter, more sustainable lifestyles.

IFA remains a launchpad for innovations that will shape households worldwide, and Ecovacs’ success at this year’s edition positions the DEEBOT X11 as one of the defining products of 2025.
