Google Pixel 9 leak reveals phone in vibrant pink

A leaked video shows a bright pink Google Pixel 9, highlighting a bold new colour choice and aligning with design rumours.

Rumours about the Google Pixel product launch are now at a peak, and the leaks follow suit.

On July 1, X user @hanibioud posted a video of what appears to be a Google Pixel 9 in strikingly bright pink. It is still uncertain whether the device in the video is a dummy unit or an early prototype of Google’s actual Pixel 9 smartphone.

Bright new look for Pixel 9

In recent years, Google has opted for neutral and calming tones for its Pixel phones, such as beige, baby blue, grey, and porcelain off-white. This makes the introduction of a vibrant colour like bright pink particularly notable. According to rumours, this shade will be named “Peony.”

Features and storage

The video, initially reported by 9To5Google, suggests that the device could be Algerian stock with 256GB of storage. The footage aligns with existing rumours about the Pixel 9’s design, showing two rear cameras. This feature indicates it is likely not the Pro variant, as the Pro models usually include a third telephoto camera.

Expectations for Google’s next event

This leak follows speculation about Google’s early preparations for the Pixel release this year. The company’s next hardware event is scheduled for August, and many fans expect a foldable variant to be reintroduced as part of Google’s main lineup.

With the Pixel 9’s design and features slowly coming to light through these leaks, anticipation is building for the official reveal.
