Honor 400 Lite brings an AI camera button and Google Gemini to budget smartphones

Honour 400 Lite lands in Singapore with AI camera features, Google Gemini, and a bright display, all at a budget-friendly price.

The new Honor 400 Lite has officially launched in Singapore. It brings smart AI features, strong camera specs, and a dedicated camera button to a phone that won’t break the bank. With the arrival of this model, Honor continues its fast-paced upgrade cycle and adds some surprising features for an entry-level Android phone.

A dedicated AI camera button adds smart functionality

You’ll immediately notice that the Honor 400 Lite has a unique feature—a dedicated AI Camera Button. This button does more than take photos. By pressing and holding it, you can activate an image search function to snap a picture of something and find it online immediately. It also controls the standard Camera app, allowing you to take photos, zoom in, or record video while wearing gloves. That’s a practical bonus for healthcare or food delivery workers, where hands-free or gloved use is daily.

The phone’s Power Button also serves an extra purpose. A long press launch launched Google Gemini, giving you quick access to Google’s AI features, which have become a staple on many modern Android devices. This blend of hardware and AI makes the Honor 400 Lite feel smarter and more useful, even at a lower price point.

Impressive cameras and bright display

Don’t let the budget label fool you—the Honor 400 Lite offers a solid photography setup. On the back, you get a 108MP main camera with an f/1.75 aperture and 3x lossless zoom. This is paired with a 5MP wide and depth sensor (f/2.2), which helps create more detailed and layered shots. Whether you’re snapping portraits or landscapes, the depth sensor improves how your photos look by separating the subject from the background more clearly. A 16MP camera is ready for selfies and video calls on the front.

The phone’s display is equally strong. You’ll find a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution (2,412 x 1,080 pixels). The screen stretches nearly edge to edge, boasting a 93.7% screen-to-body ratio and very slim bezels. What stands out is the brightness—Honor claims it can hit up to 3,500 nits, so you won’t struggle to see it even in bright sunlight.

To protect your eyes, the phone also includes 3,840Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker, a hardware-level Low Blue Light filter, and a Circadian Night feature that adjusts lighting for better night-time use.

Affordable, durable and easy to find

Even though it’s classed as an entry-level phone, the Honor 400 Lite has some features you’d usually see in more expensive models. It’s rated IP65 for water and dust resistance, has a 5,230mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging, and runs on MagicOS 9.0 (based on Android 15). The phone also includes Magic Portal, Honor’s smart interface that links apps together for smoother multitasking.

The phone has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, but you can extend the RAM virtually up to 24GB for a smoother performance experience.

The Honor 400 Lite in Velvet Grey or Marrs Green costs S$339 (around US$249). StarHub is the exclusive telco partner in Singapore. Still, you can also purchase it from online platforms like Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and Harvey Norman, as well as in-store at locations like the Honor Experience Store at Causeway Point and NEX, Harvey Norman, COURTS, Best Denki, Challenger, and Gain City.

As a bonus, from April 25 to May 31, 2025, every purchase includes gifts worth up to S$149 (around US$110). These gifts include the Honor Earbuds X6 and an extended one-year warranty, giving you two years of coverage.
