Huawei to reveal groundbreaking new product on September 10

Huawei to unveil a groundbreaking new product on September 10, the same day as Apple’s iPhone 16 launch, with hints of a double-folding

Huawei has announced a major event scheduled for September 10, promising to unveil a groundbreaking new product that could revolutionise the tech industry.

The Chinese tech giant shared the news through a post on Weibo, a popular social media platform in China. According to the post, the launch event will take place on Tuesday, September 10, at 2:30 pm (Singapore Time). This announcement comes on the heels of Apple’s event, scheduled for the same day just a few hours earlier, where they are expected to introduce the new iPhone 16 and the latest Apple Watch models.

A bold new product set to disrupt the market

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Group, added to the excitement by teasing the upcoming launch on Weibo. He described the product as Huawei’s most “leading, innovative, and disruptive” to date, claiming it would be an “epoch-making” creation that has never been seen before in the industry. While Yu did not provide specific details, a source from Bloomberg has hinted that Huawei’s new product could be “the world’s first commercial-ready smartphone that folds twice.”

Recent sightings of the product in Yu’s hands have fuelled speculation. According to rumours, the device may feature a unique horizontal folding mechanism with two creases, dividing the screen into three sections. When fully unfolded, the display is expected to reach around 10 inches, providing a larger screen experience than current folding phones on the market.

Huawei to launch a new phone soon after unveiling

In a recent public appearance at the Stelato S9 electric vehicle delivery ceremony, Yu hinted that the triple-folding smartphone will be available soon after the launch. According to his remarks, consumers could have the opportunity to get their hands on this innovative device as early as mid-September.

Meanwhile, Samsung is not standing still. Keen to keep up with its competitors, Samsung reportedly plans to introduce a Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition later this month. The new model is rumoured to have a slimmer design and a superior main camera compared to the standard version, suggesting that Samsung is eager to offer a strong alternative to Huawei’s latest innovation.

This period promises to be exciting for smartphone enthusiasts as three of the world’s biggest tech companies prepare to release their newest products within the same month.
