Microsoft opens pre-orders for Surface Copilot+ PCs in Singapore

Microsoft launches AI-powered Surface Pro and Surface Laptop in Singapore, with pre-orders open ahead of 15 July availability.

Microsoft has announced the launch of its latest Surface devices in Singapore, with pre-orders now open for the Surface Pro, 12-inch and Surface Laptop, 13-inch. These new models are part of the Copilot+ PC lineup, designed to support AI-powered features while offering long battery life, fast performance and enhanced portability. The devices will be generally available from 15 July 2025 via the Microsoft Official Store and selected retailers.

With prices starting from S$1,199, both devices are built on the Snapdragon X Plus processor with an integrated neural processing unit (NPU), enabling AI-enhanced productivity and new user experiences. Customers who pre-order between 1–14 July will receive complimentary accessories, including a Surface Pro Keyboard or a Surface Arc Mouse, depending on the model purchased.

Surface Laptop, 13-inch focuses on portability and battery life

The Surface Laptop, 13-inch is Microsoft’s lightest and thinnest Surface Laptop to date. Available in Platinum, the notebook features a premium anodised aluminium chassis and a full HD touchscreen with ultra-thin bezels. It includes an integrated 45 TOPS NPU, which Microsoft claims makes the device 50% faster than the Surface Laptop 5 and faster than the MacBook Air M3.

The device offers up to 23 hours of video playback and 16 hours of active web use, the longest battery life ever in a Surface product. A redesigned keyboard and fingerprint reader enhance usability, while the inclusion of a dedicated Copilot key gives users one-touch access to AI tools. The laptop also supports universal USB-C fast charging.

AI-enhanced features such as Auto Video HDR and noise reduction improve video calls, and the precision touchpad with adaptive touch ensures smooth navigation. From a sustainability perspective, the Surface Laptop includes 100% recycled cobalt in its battery and rare earth metals in its magnets. Components are also designed to be easily replaceable by authorised technicians.

Surface Pro, 12-inch blends versatility with AI features

The new Surface Pro, 12-inch maintains the brand’s signature 2-in-1 design, combining tablet portability with laptop functionality. It comes with an adjustable kickstand and a detachable keyboard. The Surface Slim Pen now magnetically attaches to the back of the device for easy storage and charging.

Weighing just 680 grams, the Surface Pro is powered by the same Snapdragon X Plus processor and integrated NPU as the Laptop model. It offers all-day battery life and is paired with a redesigned keyboard that includes a matte palm rest, full-size backlit keys, and a precision touchpad. The keyboard also features dedicated Copilot and lock keys and is available in Slate for the Singapore market.

In line with Microsoft’s ongoing sustainability efforts, the device uses 82.9% recycled content in its enclosure and 100% recycled cobalt in its battery. Many components are designed for repair or replacement by skilled technicians or authorised providers, helping reduce electronic waste.

AI tools enhance everyday productivity

The Surface Copilot+ PCs come with AI features that aim to simplify daily tasks. These include the optional “Recall” (preview), which allows users to quickly return to apps, websites or documents. Improved Windows search enables more natural language queries, and “Click to Do” (preview) helps identify on-screen elements and take action using local or web-based AI models.

Upcoming features that will first be made available to Windows Insiders include an AI assistant in Settings, which can provide recommendations or perform actions based on user input. Another feature, Photos Relight, will allow users to apply studio-like lighting effects to images directly on their devices.

These enhancements are part of Microsoft’s broader Copilot+ PC initiative, which aims to deliver integrated, local AI tools to help users work more efficiently and creatively.

Availability and configurations

The Surface Pro and Surface Laptop are available for pre-order through the Microsoft Official Store and authorised retailers such as Harvey Norman, Best Denki, Courts, Gain City, Lazada, and Shopee. Full availability begins on 15 July, with the following configurations offered:
