Nacon has announced the Revolution Pro X – Special Edition, a wireless Xbox controller inspired by Rogue Factor’s action-adventure game Hell Is Us. Designed for competitive gaming, the new accessory combines adjustable joystick tension, Hall Effect sensors and micro-switch triggers to give players greater control over their inputs.
The officially licensed controller supports PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and compatible smart TVs. It is available through Nacon’s online store for £109.99, US$129.90 or €129.99, depending on the region.
The controller features a jet-black finish and a minimalist design inspired by Hell Is Us’s visual style. Beyond its appearance, Nacon has focused on customisation and responsiveness, offering several hardware features for players who want to fine-tune their controls for different gaming situations.
Nacon focuses on precision and customisable controls
The Revolution Pro X – Special Edition combines hardware technologies designed to improve accuracy and responsiveness. One of its main features is the adjustable joystick tension system, which lets players change the resistance of the analogue sticks to suit their preferences and the demands of a game.
The controller uses a control ring that lets users adjust joystick tension with a single motion. This lets players choose lighter resistance for quick movements or firmer resistance for more controlled aiming. The feature could be particularly useful in competitive games, where the balance between speed and accuracy can influence performance.
Nacon explained the adjustment system’s purpose in its announcement. “Its control ring lets you adjust the mechanical tension of the joysticks with a single gesture to prioritise either fast movements or precise aiming, depending on the situation,” the company said.
The controller also incorporates Hall Effect joysticks, which use contactless magnetic sensing rather than conventional physical contact to detect movement. This design reduces the mechanical wear associated with traditional joystick components and is intended to support consistent performance over time.
Another key feature is the use of micro-switches in the triggers. According to Nacon, these switches provide rapid input without mechanical wear. The combination of adjustable joystick resistance, magnetic sensing and micro-switch triggers gives the controller a range of customisation options designed for players who want more control over how their inputs are registered.
Wireless connectivity and additional gaming features
Beyond its joystick and trigger technology, the Revolution Pro X – Special Edition includes several features to suit different gaming setups. The controller supports wireless connectivity through a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle, letting compatible devices connect without a direct cable.
For players who prefer a wired setup, the package includes a detachable, braided USB-C cable measuring three metres. The cable adds flexibility for desktop gaming and setups where players prefer a wired connection.
The controller also features four vibration motors designed to provide tactile feedback during gameplay. These motors can communicate in-game events through physical sensations, adding another layer of feedback when the game supports them.
Two programmable shortcut buttons are positioned on the back of the controller. These allow players to assign selected functions to additional inputs, potentially reducing the need to move their fingers away from the main controls during fast-paced matches. The rear buttons support different playstyles by letting users configure the controller around their preferred actions.
Compatibility spans a broad range of devices, including Windows PCs, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and compatible smart TVs This makes the accessory an option for players who use multiple platforms and want to keep a familiar control layout across their gaming equipment.
In wired mode, the controller supports a polling rate of 1,000 Hz when connected to a PC. Nacon also claims 1 millisecond latency, highlighting responsiveness as a key selling point for games that require quick reactions. The company positions these specifications as particularly relevant to first-person shooters and other competitive titles, where small delays can affect the timing of player inputs.
Pricing, availability and Nacon’s competitive gaming ambitions
The Revolution Pro X – Special Edition is available now through Nacon’s official online store. It is listed at £109.99 in the UK, US$129.90 in the US, and €129.99 in Europe. Regional pricing may vary depending on the market and retailer.
The Hell Is Us-inspired design distinguishes this edition from a standard gaming controller, but its main selling points centre on customisation and hardware functionality. The adjustable joystick tension system lets players change resistance without replacing components, while Hall Effect sensors and micro-switch triggers provide responsive control and reduce wear.
Yannick Allaert, director of Nacon’s accessories division, said the company aimed to combine a broad range of features with an accessible price for a precision-focused controller.
“With the Revolution Pro X – SE, we wanted to offer a full-featured precision controller at a competitive price,” Allaert said.
He also highlighted the technologies used to give players more control over their gaming experience. “Its joystick tension adjustment, Hall Effect sensors, and micro-switch combine technologies designed to allow every player to tailor their controls to their playing style.”
The announcement reflects Nacon’s focus on offering gaming accessories that combine specialised hardware with personalisation options. Rather than relying solely on the Hell Is Us theme, the Revolution Pro X – Special Edition brings together adjustable mechanical resistance, programmable inputs and multiple connection options in a controller aimed at competitive and enthusiast players.
Its appeal will depend on how well those features perform in everyday use, particularly for players who value adjustable joystick resistance and low-latency input. At its listed price, the controller enters a segment where buyers weigh customisation, build quality, and platform compatibility.
