New Relic’s platform enhances SAP monitoring for seamless cloud transformation

New Relic launches its SAP Monitoring Solution to help enterprises unify cloud and on-premise system monitoring, improving process efficiency and reliability.

New Relic, a leading provider of intelligent observability solutions, has announced its support for RISE with SAP to help enterprises accelerate their cloud transformation. New Relic’s latest product, New Relic Monitoring for SAP Solutions unifies monitoring across the entire SAP landscape, providing seamless observability for businesses moving to the cloud. As the only platform with built-in, agentless SAP integration, New Relic offers one-step observability and easy-to-use functionality, allowing businesses to optimise their processes and enhance customer experiences.

With SAP being used by 99 of the world’s top 100 largest companies, ensuring the smooth operation of business processes is crucial. Companies rely on SAP systems for critical workflows such as quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay. Interruptions in these processes can lead to revenue loss and delays in product delivery. Unified observability helps mitigate these risks by allowing businesses to monitor both SAP and non-SAP systems seamlessly. “Complex IT architectures require technological solutions that assess an entire IT landscape to provide real-time context-aware insights that span providers, technologies, and locations,” said Principal Analyst Carlos Casanova from Forrester Research in a January 2024 report. New Relic’s platform offers comprehensive visibility, helping businesses identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.

Unified monitoring across SAP and non-SAP systems

SAP environments are growing increasingly complex, with companies utilising a range of technologies such as ABAP, HANA, BTP, and SaaS-based platforms. The challenge for many enterprises is to monitor all these systems, whether on-premise or in the cloud, in a unified way. New Relic’s AI-driven platform solves this issue by providing a “single pane of glass” view that delivers deep insights and real-time visibility. This platform brings together various stakeholders across the business, from SAP BASIS and IT support teams to developers and executives, enabling smoother collaboration and faster problem resolution.

Through its easy-to-configure platform, New Relic provides businesses with the ability to detect and resolve issues more efficiently. The platform offers visualisation tools, anomaly detection, and alerts, making it easier for IT teams to stay on top of potential disruptions.

Helping businesses migrate to the cloud with unified monitoring

As enterprises transition from on-premise SAP systems to the cloud, they need to maintain observability across all environments to ensure a smooth transformation. New Relic’s platform supports RISE With SAP, allowing businesses to compare the performance of on-premise and cloud systems. This enables A/B testing and helps organisations make informed decisions during their migration process.

New Relic also integrates into the infrastructure layers of RISE deployments, providing valuable insights that help in root cause analysis. This helps reduce interruptions to key business processes, ensuring that operations run smoothly, regardless of where the systems are hosted.

One-step observability without third-party agents

A key feature of New Relic’s solution is its built-in, agentless SAP integration, which eliminates the need for installing additional agents in production systems. This makes deployment faster and more secure, addressing concerns that businesses may have about introducing unknown agents into their systems. The platform’s SAP ABAP Certified agentless connector allows for seamless telemetry data collection, enabling businesses to use out-of-the-box visualisations immediately.

By consolidating data into one platform, New Relic simplifies the process of monitoring SAP and non-SAP systems, offering faster detection of issues and quicker resolution. This results in improved system reliability, ensuring that critical business processes remain uninterrupted.

“SAP powers some of the world’s most iconic companies in the Asia Pacific region,” said Peter Marelas, New Relic’s Field Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific and Japan. “From supply chain management, financial operations, and customer experience, these industry leaders rely on SAP for core business processing, and any disruption can have immediate and far-reaching impacts. That is why we have introduced New Relic Monitoring for SAP Solutions. This equips every SAP customer with advanced, intelligent observability, ensuring smooth operations and deep insights for continuous improvement. We are empowering enterprises to become more agile and scalable, while delivering sustainable growth and great digital experiences.”

New Relic’s SAP Monitoring Solution is now available as part of its comprehensive observability platform, empowering enterprises to drive sustainable growth and deliver great digital experiences.
